This Dr has caused me to spend hours on the phone trying to straighten out almost every thing I need done. If I were elderly or real sick I have no idea how I would be able to do this as it’s bad enough when you’re in pain trying to fix everything. I don’t know if he just doesn’t think or just doesn’t care but I can not wait to get out from under his care. His office is too busy to handle and follow through with things so I don’t know why he is accepting new patients.
Dr Vance saved my life. I am here today watching my grandchildren grow up because of him and his staff. I had a stem cell transplant in 2012 and continue treatments at his clinic. Yes some people complain about him being behind schedule. What they dont understand is thats because he takes the time to answer every question and make sure you understand what is happening with your treatments. He really cares about every patient. His staff are very dedicated to his patients and him. I would recommend Dr Vance to anyone with Multiple Myeloma looking for a Dr. Billy Tucker Rockwall TX -June 1 2020
Dr. Mathews is absolutely amazing! As a medical professional myself, I will admit that I have extremely high expectations for physicians, nurses and all caregivers. Dr. Mathews and his team consistently exceeded those expectations! I was diagnosed a year ago with Mantel Cell Lymphoma that required chemo and a stem cell transplant. It was a long road to recovery and Dr. Mathews and his team supported me every step of the way. He is kind, compassionate, incredibly knowledgable and skilled in the world of Lympomas/Leukemias and BMT/Stem Cell Transplant. A diagnosis like this not only takes a toll physically on the patient, but also emotionally and Dr. Mathews always took extra time to listen to all of my questions, concerns, fears and quickly helped with answers for any issues/complications. I truly feel that I had the VERY BEST care possible from the BMT Staff at Texas Oncology / Medical City Dallas. THANK YOU Dr. Mathews for your WONDERFUL CARE and for GIVING ME MY LIFE BACK!
In the fall of 2002 I was diagnosed with PH+ ALL. That translates to Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia with Philadelphia Chromosome. This is usually a childhood disease and frequently fatal in adults. Dr. Vance oversaw my stem cell implant in 2002. This was an unrelated donor implant About a year after the implant Dr. Vance told me I HAD leukemia. He was correct. I was no longer leukemic. I HAD leukemia and I am still here in 2020 thanks to Dr. Vance. He is wonderful!
They have been good to me. Despite the high patient volume this team maintains high standards of care. I've been a patient since 2016 and I had a very rare illness for at least 8 years. I'm not only cured and healthier but continue to receive great follow up care post stem cell transplant as of September 13, 2018 and in follow - up post transplant currently.
Hemotology dept is fantastic at managing their staffing and scheduling. But this stem cell transplant area is absolutely awful at scheduling. First visit to meet the doc was a four hour wait. 2nd visit so far, is almost 2 hours. As bad as Parkland! Wouldnt be as bad if they would tell the patient the truth when they r running behind.
