I went in for their promotion of the NeoGen treatment and did the eyes and lips. I understand that one session is not enough to see results so I cannot say much on that right now. During the treatment, I expressed concern for the lines on the arch of my eyebrows. She suggested babytox and I took her advice and went ahead with it. The results of the babytox made the problem worse. A problem that was knocking down my confidence, made me feel even more uncomfortable in my own skin. I tried reaching out and letting the spa know that I was unhappy with the results. I texted them and I was given a dismissive reply. I emailed them but no response. Apparently, it was a ‘no-reply’ email. Lastly, I decided to DM them on instagram, and the owner (I believe) simply asked for my name to check on it, but never replied back anymore after that, even when I wrote her again to check in, but she left me on ‘seen’. I am very disappointed in how I was treated when I tried to express my dissatisfaction, and I even sent images to show the results. I guess they only want you as a customer as long as you don’t complain. The only reason I gave them 2 stars and not one, is because the technician was actually very sweet, but the company should have tried to correct her mistake, and instead ignored me.
In my opinion, Unicorn Med Style is one of the most disappointing establishments I have ever encountered. In my opinion There are far better places that respect patients as people.
Unicorn MedSpa on McKinney Ave is sleek and modern, with a relaxing vibe and friendly staff that made me feel instantly at ease. Tried their signature facial and left with skin feeling noticeably smoother and glowing—definitely, worth a return visit.
Avery was super adaptive to what I wanted and made adjustments on the fly without missing a beat. Quick, efficient, and left my hair looking exactly how I envisioned it!
This salon is truly outstanding! From the moment you walk in, you're greeted by a friendly and attentive staff who genuinely make you feel at home. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, creating the perfect backdrop for your visit. The service is nothing short of exceptional; each stylist takes the time to understand your needs and preferences, ensuring a personalized experience. If you’re in search of a hair transformation or simply a refresh, I wholeheartedly recommend making an appointment here. It's guaranteed to be an unforgettable experience that leaves you feeling beautiful and confident.
They are amazing!!! Scarlet is very knowledgeable and did an awesome job on my extensions! I am very satisfied and happy!!!
Totally rocking place. My stylist, Scarlet, is amazing! She produced an even better finished product than what we discussed. I am a picky beatch and I love my hair. Go to unicorn and ask for Scarlet!
I have really debated on sharing my experience given I have been going to and speaking so highly of this salon for some time now. I booked an appt for highlights with a stylist that had previously given me some amazing results. I do not get my hair dyed often if ever bleached and she was the first person to do this for me. Recently I had (it will not allow me to say ) and was looking to just do something nice for myself. So I booked days out for a Saturday and was called and informed the stylist I originally booked with would not be able to do my hair that day and they gave me the option to rebook another day or go with another stylist. I explained that I was attending an event that Monday and would rather not have to cancel. So they put me with a new stylist Joanne. She was kind and I showed her the inspo I had previously at this salon and even asked if there was a list of what the other stylist had used on me in the past. She said yes and told me she wasn’t sure what toner though. After the first process I wasn’t happy with it and contacted reception to let them know my concerns to see what I could do to achieve the color I wanted after already spending close to $200! They asked for photos and explained that it would be free of charge and her mentor would also be present to observe her through this next process. (No mentor was present)I come back in and show her more detailed photos of what I would like and ask if it’s achievable after the color my hair is now which felt more orange/yellow. She then asked her manager and explained to me that she could only do a partial of a partial for free and initially only did 25% the top of my scalp which needless to say made it worse and did not blend or even come close to what I showed or was trying to achieve the first time around. What’s funny is she asked to do a before and after of her results but never once asked for the after even though she took the before. Shows me she was unhappy even with her own results. I was so upset and embarrassed I told her I didn’t like it and felt as if I was at a loss I couldn’t afford to fix it so why speak up? After some consideration I called and asked to speak personally with the manger ( no one wants to be that person ) explaining and already feeling intimated that I feel I’ve been wronged in this process not even sure how she got my hair to this color in the first place trying to simply express my concerns while showing her my hair which speaks for itself. She handled the situation well only saying what I could do to fix it but not how bad it was or the uneven spots that were undeniable but unfortunately stated I would still have to pay to have the hair to be fixed on the 3rd time then asked me what could I afford I then told her I didn’t really have the money to go through the process again and how hesitant I was to let someone touch it again.. she then quoted me at $150 for a different stylist and explained how good she was. I worked hard and got the money up, showed up a few days later and met my saving grace. But there’s always a catch seems like. Get there and the amount of damage that had been done to my hair wasn’t fixable “apparently” now for $150 and that’s all I really had to spend. Ava asked me what was I okay with spending confused I looked at her telling her I had already been quoted 150 for the 3rd fix attempt on my hair. Almost in tears being presented with this while I’m in the chair already been reassured by the manager my hair would be fixed and the price would NOT change for the services or required to make this right, it did. By that point I realized it was no fault to the stylist Ava but management who wasn’t present that day. Ava is hands down the sweetest woman I’ve ever met and still made sure she was able to accommodate me within my means, I still had to pay more than I was quoted (another $200) but at that point I was so embarrassed and wearing a hat all the time I was willing to do anything to just fix my hair. So after about a total of $450 I was able to get what I came in for originally.
The team is professional, talented, and truly listens to what you want while also offering their expert advice. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and they really go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. I always leave feeling confident and beautiful. Highly recommend if you're looking for top-quality service and results that speak for themselves!
To keep it short . GET YOUR HAIR DONE SOMEWHERE ELSE. Check out the before (my head shot photo with blue background was a pic I took 2 weeks before tbe date of the hair fail) , the inspo pics I showed the “master stylist”, and what she did (pic in the salon chair) - (or better yet what she didn’t do) . The girl took 3 minutes on my hair cut. I asked for a lot of layers !!!! I told her I wanted to kardashian old school style with all the layers …. The curtain bangs!!! See for yourself… am I crazy !?!? Because WHERE ARE THE LAYERS!!!!!!!??????. $110 for this - You can do a better job going on YouTube.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
