List of Yoav Hahn's Reviews
Dr Hahn is hands down 100 % the best ENT in the world in my book! He took me on as his patient and did what 2 other doctors told me could NOT be done and I can now hear 90% better without the use of my BAHA (Bone Anchored Hearing Aid) Dr Hahn is very kind, patient, easy to talk to, he explains everything in detail and answers any and all questions without making me feel stupid. He does not rush you through your appointment. I cannot say enough good things about him! Highly recommended
My daughter has a hearing issues for last 6 years and last year her ENT doctor recommended a surgery. So our family tried to get second opinion who has lots experiences in the surgery for the child. We visited Dr. Hahn's office and did some examination to decide which surgery would work for her and understand how severely her hearing losses were concerned. Next day in the early morning, Dr. Hahn made a call to share the results of the test with his recommendation about the surgery. Having reviewed her problems, Dr. Hahn did surgery and now the results are perfect. Her hearing ranges becomes similar to the other ear. On the surgery day, he and his staffs explained what's going on and etc. He's very knowledgeable doctor, good communication with the patients and listening to the patients concerns. I highly recommend Dr. Hahn for hearing issues.
We’ve had a lot of visits with this good doctor. He’s a gentle healer. If you or a loved one has a complicated ear problem (the experience we had with Dr. Hanh has been for ears ) consider this doctor. He’s conservative with treatment and patient and allows the body time to heal (but he checked in at reasonable intervals.) zero post operation infections, mild pain well controlled and good results. It’s all you can ask for with very sensitive, rare and complicated surgery. While he treated my 66 year old husband (for several years now!) as the mother of four, I wouldn’t hesitate to ask him to examine a pediatric patient (whether the scope of his practice includes children, I don’t know). If you have a child that needs a lot of doctors you have probably had the experience of some doctors that scare some children. I doubt Dr. Hahn would.
This is a physician I never dread seeing. Have been seeing Dr. Hahn for several years starting with surgery to ongoing follow up. His quality of care delivery is outstanding and treatment has been excellent. I must recognize also, how personable, professional, friendly and caring this physician is. Professionally, I have worked with physicians clinically & administratively for 35+ years in addition to seeing physicians for personal care. Dr. Hahn, without question is the best. I would highly recommend him to anyone. His professionalism, courtesy and caring attitude carries over to his entire staff at Dallas Ear Institute. Thank all of you for what you do. You make the experience the best it can be while providing the best of care to your patients!
After wearing hearing aides for 15+ years, I decided to see if I was candidate for a stapedectomy. Based on my hearing tests and family history, Dr. Hahn performed a stapedectomy which dramatically improved my hearing without the use aides. This has improved my life style as I can go swimming, boating, rafting, etc. without worrying about the hearing aides. I would highly recommend Dr. Hahn for this procedure.
Dr. Hahn gets 5 stars, FRONT OFFICE 0 STARS (rating in the middle taking both into account).I left multiple messages prior to my first appointment, never receiving a call back. Promised itemized receipt to be sent to me after first appointment, followed up 2 weeks later and told it would be another few weeks. Also told that if I have to overpay for my upcoming surgery because they have not gotten paperwork for my insurance to apply my appointment charges to my deductible, then I will have to overpay and just wait for a refund.Dr. Hahn really should consider how poorly performing office staff can impact his reputation.
This doctor removed my middle and inner ear, filled my ear with belly fat without my consent or even discussing that it was a possibility at the time of surgery for a removal of a brain mass. He arrived 4 1/2 hours late for surgery so I was in pre-op all that time waiting. I was sent home without any instructions other than to make a follow up appointment to remove stitches.
Showed up to assist with brain surgery and tumor removal 4 1/2 hours late. Gave no post op information or instructions. Doesn’t listen to questions or provide accurate information. Doesn’t respond to emails via Dallas Ear Institution website.
Not good. Arrived to surgery 4 1/2 hours late. I was in pre-op all that time waiting to have brain surgery. When I asked him about it, he said there was a scheduling misunderstanding. He didn’t seem to care at all. I was discharged without any instructions or information regarding care or when to follow up. I tried emailing him several times and all went unanswered. Lacks empathy and compassion. At follow up appointment, it was obvious he was in a rush to get my appointment over and out of the exam room as quickly as possible.
I had a tumor in my left ear with a damaged eardrum. The tumor had grown into the small bone which was restricting my hearing. I live in Tyler, Texas which is a medical community, and there wasn’t a Doctor in the area who could treat my condition. I was referred to Dr. Yoav Hahn. Dr Hahn is absolutely amazing. He is very easy to talk to, and is honest and direct. He explained the whole situation in detail and then explained his recommendations. He thought that I might need a second surgery to replace one of the small bones, but said that he would try to clean it out while removing the tumor and reconstructing the eardrum. I felt very confident in him after reading his Bio. I was even more confident after meeting with him. I truly believe that this Doctor has a God given gift. He was able to do everything in one surgery as he had hoped. I can’t say enough about this man. I can only say to anybody who has hearing problems of any sort, that you will not find a better Dr. He is amazin!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
