Bruce Eckel's Online Review Report Card

My sons primary pediatrician was not able to see him today. So we were put with Dr. Eckel by default. This was our first time seeing him. He had a terrible bedside manor. And he made myself and my son feel very uncomfortable! He just didn’t seem to know how to interact with children very well. Which is concerning because Jax has always felt comfortable with his pediatricians in the past! And I absolutely love Dr. Lehan our primary pediatrician. The main issue with Dr. Eckel was that I felt like he was being judgemental for some reason. And he was making my son feel bad about himself. I am so used to getting a warm welcome from pediatricians and I did not get that from Dr. Eckel at all. He was very cold. He also didn’t stay to help walk us to the front at the end of the appointment. I am just used to a level of friendliness and professionalism that Dr. Eckel did not posses. It honestly hurt my feelings and my feelings also. We will definitely never be seeing him again. We will stick with Dr. Lehan at Cooke Children’s she is our primary pediatrician and she is amazing with children!

Dr. Bruce Eckel was my children's pediatrician for many years until we moved away. He took great care with both of them for everyday issues as well as keeping my son (a severe asthmatic) out of the hospital on more than one occasion with in office treatments. He was always patient with my kids and with me and all my questions. You can tell that he truly loves children and doing what he does is his passion. My kids are grown and healthy now in part to the good healthcare they received at the hands of this pediatric office and mostly Dr. Eckel.

We love every Dr in this office! With 3 kids we've seen all of them at one point and they are fantastic. Dr Eckel is our pcp and I would highly recommend him! We are always seen quickly. The doctors are very caring and great with kids. The office staff and nurses are awesome! Definitely a top notch pediatric office.

Exceptional nursing staff, but the front desk was rude. Dr. Eckel discredited previous medical history and igored recurring symptoms. My son left his office with diminished self-esteem. Dr. Eckel was very unprofessional in categorizing all teens to be like his teen, rather than look at patient history.

We love Dr Eckel! We have never had a problem getting into see him, we usually get in that day within an hour or two of calling. Both my guys are so comfortable with him, and I love that he is laid back. We are so glad we switched to Dr Eckel when we did!
