I am thoroughly impressed with the entire staff at Texas Back Institute. From the greeters to the nurses and assistants to the doctors and Dr. Hisey in particular, I have received phenomenal care. Even with COVID restrictions, I have been able to schedule face to face appointments. I called with questions and within the day received a call back with answers. You can tell when your providers genuinely care about your well being, and these folks certainly do care. They have helped me manage my pain, and I know that if it comes to surgery at some point, I can trust them with my care. Thank you, TX back institute.

Thanks to Dr Hisey and his team, I am pain free after L4/L5 fusion on 2/13/2020. Also received first class treatment and care at their Plano surgery center. Highly recommended by this USN veteran!

Dr. Hisey was very courteous and thoroughly explained what was happening in my neck and arm. He took time to show me slide by slide of my MRI on the computer and talked me through a recovery plan. I didn't feel rushed and was able to leave feeling confident that I was on a path to healing.

I went in for surgery. Came out could not feel my left leg from knee down. Could not urinate and had to be cathed for 6 weeks and had to learn to walk again. Seven years later nerve still did not grow back after he told me it would grow back. EMG showed the nerves were cut. He was 2 hours and 15 min late for my schedule surgery so I think he rushed it. He told me on my two week check up could not fix you you need a fusion. I would not recommend him to my dog.

Was given wrong information regarding back treatment. Worsened my condition because of mistake by MD & his staff. The right hand doesn't understand what the left hand is doing. Dr Hisey tried to explain that he or his staff weren't responsible for multiple mistakes, & he puts the blame on patient to cover his mistakes. He isn't aware that his assistants are giving false information to his patients. When confronted he denies it. Have now developed additional conditions due to his malpractice.
