He treated my mother in law's glioblastoma multiform brain cancer after her surgery. We were never able to reach him with questions or concerns. His office filtered all calls and we had to call multiple times and rarely got a response. He never generated contact with us himself. Her treatment was delayed due to complications, but there was never follow up. She died days ago, after we placed her on hospice ourselves. His office isn't even aware of her death. It appears they have too many patients. My friend who has breast cancer and is his patient in Gainesville TX, had the same concerns, delays and lack of follow up. It appears as if the doctor patient relationship is not a priority, rather the charge for chemo, radiation and billing being the priority. We do not blame him for her death, she was terminal and we hoped to extend her life with some quality. Her condition didn't appear to be taken as urgent since she was already terminally ill. She was just a billing factor to pay for the expensive equipment.

Dr. Qasim is very nice. However, they seem to be over scheduling as we wait and wait every time. Today was over an hour. The receptionist's appears to be unable to handle stressful fast paced work.

I have been with Dr. Qasim for more than 10 years for a blood Disorder. He is a wonderful doctor, came highly recommended by numerous doctors and I have always had confidence in him.

He lied to our family and kept saying my uncles cancer was a miracle and that he would live, kept giving us wrong information the whole time. Turns out it was all lies to play us for money. The office staff was also completely unprofessional, never ever would call back for important things like scheduling mri pet scan etc. Please learn from our mistakes and take your beloved family members elsewhere. I am not sure how places like this can even exist.

I have been a patient of Dr. Qasim's from more than 10 years. He is very professional. He listens to me and shows genuine interest in my well-being. I moved a substantial distance from Dr. Qasim more than 2 years ago, but I continue to keep him as my doctor because of his medical care. I am not interested in finding a new doctor in my new community.

No I would not recommend this Dr due to not ever getting a return call after calling once a week for 4 weeks to find out when my next infusion should be scheduled.
