Dr. Tolhurst is the best! He listens and takes time to explain in a way you understand. Dr. Tolhurst operated on my back in October and I feel great! Also, the office staff is very friendly and helpful. Hopefully, I will never need another back surgery, but if I do, he's the guy!

a day agoNEW If I could give zero stars I would. I specifically asked if Dr. Tolhurst performed a certain procedure before I made an appointment. When I made the appointment I was assured he did perform this procedure. I am cash pay and was told the consult would be $300. The first thing he told me when he came in the room was that he did not perform the procedure. I COULD NOT QUIT CRYING! He was not comforting or supportive. I waisted an afternoon seeing Dr. Tolhurst and they tried to charge me $450 on the way out. I feel like I was taken advantage of because I was told Dr. Tolhurst performed a certain procedure and does not. I went ahead and paid $300 for nothing. I really wish I would have just walked out because Dr. Tolhurst did not provide any useful information or service.

Dr. Stephen Tolhurst is the best spine doctor I have ever seen. I had back and neck problems for years. After reinjuring my neck and back in February 2020, I required fusion of both my neck and low back during 2020.I can honestly say that I haven't felt this good in years! My spine and muscles are finally working together again.

great doctor and excellent surgeon. he operated on my back five years ago and life has been fantastic ever since. no more back pain, no more pain in my legs, no more leg atrophy due to less usage, and never a single problem. we had tried both physical therapy and injections into the spine with limited success. so surgery was required -- so he tried everything available before surgery. but the surgery has been a god send. I'm like a new man and I'm and old man -- so dr tolhurst gave me a renewed life. if you have back issues, this is absolutely the doctor to see ....

After 2 Lumbar and 2 Cervical fusions, I still have issues. Almost exactly one year after the Lumbar repair, I have Late-Onset SSI. I'm currently in discussions with a different doctor on how to proceed. Dr. Tolhurst was always running late and in a hurry. I never saw the hardware or an only minor overview of what was being done. I know that my body has a lot to blame however I also feel that if he would have taken more time and care, he would have been able to understand why my body doesn't like the hardware.

I was scheduled for an MRI after office visit staff never scheduled. My PCP had to schedule it. I went back for review of MRI and was scheduled for Discogram and a week later office staff could still not provide any information on its scheduling. I would not recommend.

Dr. Tolhurst is a wonderful doctor. I’m very grateful to have an active lifestyle again. I suffered in pain for over 15 years but in December 2019 I chose to have a 360 fusion and have recovered greatly. I was one of those people who kept putting it off due to fear of surgery but finally got to a point of surrender. So if you are like me and have avoided making that appointment wait no longer. Dr. Tolhurst and his staff are compassionate and very thorough. I’m eternally grateful for such great care.

Amazing doctor!!!! Great team and he is skilled and caring!! So blessed to have him do my surgery
