Nurses are nice, but the front desk staff not as much. They still require masks 2 1/2 years after covid. Follow the science!

This was the first procedure I have ever had done and the entire experience was so pleasant! The entire staff was fantastic with making the whole process so smooth and made me feel comfortable every step of the way. HUGE thank you to Dr. Raj, Dr. Kim, and every nurse with me during my experience.

This surgery center is amazing. My nurse, anesthesiologist, and surgeon were all so friendly and amazing. Ever single one of them made the process so easy and smooth. They all answered every question I had. I definitely recommend this place When I have surgery next it will for sure be there.

This facility is an excellent place for OP surgery. Very clean, accommodating receptionists and fine waiting area for family. The nursing staff and Dr Lowe are very caring & competent in patient care and comfort. Love this place!

Dr. Sayani explained the science behind the surgery to the best of my ability to understand. All staff, medical and otherwise, were compassionate and answered all my questions. The anesthesiologist visited in person. He made the best choice for the level of anxiety I was having. I hope I have him again for my right eye. He and Dr. Sayani will be a treasured memory when all of this is over. Both doctors showed a sense of releiving humor.

The nurses and staff are exceptional!!! This is the first procedure I have had and the staff made it a very positive experience. I cannot thank the nurses enough for the compassion shown and the care given to me during this whole procedure. Definitely recommend Texas Health Surgery Center Denton. My son had an endoscopy today. All of the nurses and female anesthesiologist (very personable, great bedside manner) went way above and beyond to make him feel important and valued. We were both so well accommodated every step of the way. Carmen took care of him after his procedure and kept me informed of how he was doing. She is full of character and made him feel super special. Unfortunately, the Dr did not stick around to discuss the procedure afterwards, but my son liked him, and that was not the fault of the surgery center

I’m so frustrated with the surgery center. I scheduled a surgery to have a cyst removed on my son’s wrist for 9:00am on a Monday. The doctor’a office confirmed it for 9:00am and I confirmed it. Last Thursday I called to make sure they had all of his paperwork, etc and they couldn’t find him on the schedule. I spoke with someone over scheduling who informed me that the surgery center removed my son from the schedule because I had to cashpay up front, and they assumed I wouldn’t do the surgery having to cashpay. I was furious. I had it scheduled on a day he was off of school and first thing in the morning. They told me they would add him back to the schedule and apologized for removing him in the first place. This morning, I’m leaving my house at 7:00am, and they called to tell me they moved his surgery to 11;00 and not to come in until 10:00. They asked if anyone had called me last Friday to inform me they moved the appointment to 11:00. Nope, even went back through my call records on my phone. No phone calls on Friday from the surgery center. It is now almost 2:00 in the afternoon and they still have not taken my son back. I honesty think they removed him, didn’t put him back on the schedule, and now they are trying to fit him in. I have another appointment at 4:00 pm that I am probably going to miss. I never would have thought that scheduling a 9:00am appointment for a cyst removal would take all day and possibly make me miss my 4:00pm appointment.

I had a procedure last week and it was a wonderful experience. No wait and everyone was very friendly and professional. Nurses are the best!!!! So nice and caring. Called me the day after to check on me. Very organized and did a great job. Wonderful staff.

Here’s the issue: I had a **preventative** colonoscopy back in November of 2018. Who wants to have a colonoscopy? NO ONE EVER. My primary care physician urged me to have one, as my father died at age 54 of colon cancer....I am 48. And I have health insurance. So she referred me to a Dr. Panzer, who I did not meet until the morning of my colonoscopy. I am in fine health...I haven’t missed a day of work, I go to my primary care physician regularly for check ups (and to be hounded about having a colonoscopy, which I finally gave in to in November). Dr. Panzer came in, shook my hand, discussed the procedure at Texas Health Surgery Center, the whole thing went fine, I don’t even remember SEEING him afterwards...he told my husband I had some mild diverticulitis blah blah blah but nothing else and he’d see me in 5 years. And I went home. Dr. Panzer’s office charged me exactly NOTHING, since this was a preventative screening. TEXAS HEALTH SURGERY CENTER charged me 891.00!!!!!!!!!!!! When I questioned them about it, they said it was a “diagnostic” screening because of the “diverticulitis” (which the nurse could not pronounce)....I pointed out that I did not go to the doctor complaining of diverticulitis, was not treated subsuquently for the diverticulitis, and thus it was NOT a diagnosis for diverticulitis....and was then directed to “appeal” it with my insurance. Which I did. The insurance told me they could only go by how the procedure was “coded” by the surgery center, and they had coded it as a “diagnosis” not a “screening” because I am under 50 and therefore too young for a screening (none of which had been discussed with me prior to the procedure). My husband (age 54) had a colonoscopy EXACTLY one week later by the same doctor at a surgery center down the road and was charged NOTHING (same insurance). Can someone say racket? I have been unable to straighten this out and am run in constant circles by the billing department in ENDLESS phone calls....I have repeated this story SO many times it is amazingly frustrating. The care was ok, but the billing? Ridiculous. You have a choice. Don’t make it this one.
