I had a recent spine surgery performed by Dr. Kosztowski and the experience was absolutely first rate. I was well taken care of starting from the initial appointment, during which the front desk was friendly and helpful. When my wife and I met the doctor for the first time, we were impressed with his thoroughness and patience. Of course, his credentials were also impressive. I immediately decided he would be the neurosurgeon who would perform my surgery. The post surgery care during my hospital stay and the subsequent follow up visits were equally impressive, both by him and his staff. He was the third doctor I consulted with on my back problem, and I am glad I made the right choice. Highly recommended for spinal neurosurgery procedures.

Doctor Kosztowski is not only extremely competent he is one of the most caring Doctors I have met. He listens, evaluates and makes well thought out decisions. He took care of a severe neck problem for me with a fairly complicated surgery and guided me through every phase with honest, clear explanations of what to expect. I highly recommend Dr. K.

Dr. Kosztowski is professional, informative and friendly. Dr. Koz recommended a pain management specialist until I was ready to have my back surgery. When I was ready to have the surgery, Dr. Koz explained every step of the procedures to my satisfaction. After the surgeries, Dr. Koz closely monitored my recovery and level of pain. I had two back surgeries with Dr. Kosztowski, the first done four years ago on an emergency basis and the last done recently. The results of both surgeries exceeded expectations. Dr. Kosztowski has exceptional technical training and experience. In addition, he is very patient focused, explaining all procedures and options clearly and spending adequate time to address any questions. He is also very responsive in terms of his availability and scheduling flexibility. In summary – he’s a great doctor and I’m so glad I selected him to do my surgeries.

I usually do a great deal of research before deciding on a specialist, but when I needed urgent surgery for a subdural hematoma, I was unable to do so. Consequently, I was worried about the hospital’s choice of a neurosurgeon. I am very pleased with the competence, bedside manner, and follow-up care provided by Dr. Thomas Kosztowski with the Texas Back Institute. I had heard of this group and likely would have chosen someone from there for back surgery, but not neurosurgery. I am very glad the ER doctor at Medical City in Denton chose Dr. Kosztowski for me. Dr. Kosztowski has been an angel for me. He performed neck surgery to fuse vertebras c3-5 and remove pressure from my spinal core. Surgery was amazing, only a small, clean ~2 inches incision. I went home next day. Two weeks after surgery, I have not had any issue at all. He is very patient listening and giving answer to my queries. He is very kind and supportive. You never feel he is in a rush when meeting him. So far the surgery outcome is very promising and I got a great improvement about the numbness and tingling of my hands just after the surgery. They keep improving day by day.

He was skilled and reassuring to my wife. Dr Kosztowski explained his time and procedure. I was discharged in record time and on the road for recovery. Thank God For His help and this Doctor saved my life. I was in need of a doctor due to an emergency condition and he took care of it for us.

Dr. Thomas Kosztowski is truly an angel of God. He is not only very good at what he does but he is also the most caring and compassionate Dr. that I have ever met. He is a rare breed!! I feel very blessed that God placed him in our path when my mom became very sick with a staff infection in her blood that went sepsis caused by back surgery on 10/15/19 from another physician. The infection had caused a lot of damage and the implants the other physician placed were doing nothing for her . Dr Kosztowski removed the implants, repaired the spinal membrane that was leaking fluid from the spinal cord, preformed a debridement and shaved some areas of the bone within the spine that was pressing on her nerves that was causing her so much pain. My mom is still recovering from the infection, and has a long road to recovery before we know her full results, but she says for the first time in a while she has HOPE again. Thank you Dr. "K"!!
