Dr. Mahoney is the best dermatologist. The doctor and the staff at the office are the best. I have been going to his office for almost 5 months now, and my psoriasis is completely gone. I am 100% clear. I have my psoriasis for over 7 years, and I went everywhere to see any doctors for a treatment, but none of the doctors can cure my psoriasis. Only Dr. Mahoney gave me the right treatment. Thanks to him I haven't been itching or scratching myself for the past 4 months. I would definitely recommend anyone who has psoriasis and can't find a cure yet, please make an appointment to see him. Don't give up your hope. Dr. Mahoney is the best dermatologist. Dr. Mahoney has “heart!” After seeing six doctors regarding a painful itchy rash that was diagnosed as Grover’s Disease, he (doctor #7) gave me relief and hope. This condition had prevented me from participating in normal activities and kept me from sleeping well for almost three months! Dr. Mahoney is knowledgeable, kind, and receptive to your needs. I found his front office staff very helpful in scheduling, answering questions, etc. The back staff is amazing, too! This is not a “one-size-fits-all” doctors office! I can’t recommend Dr. Mahoney more highly!

They over charged me for the visit which I have insurance with HCA so it should be cheaper with them since they are part of HCA group plus he charged me $250 for a procedure that it wasn't even a procedure !!! He just came in and squeeze the pimple on my nose which I could of even done myself !!!!!! That's all he did . At the end he told me come back and follow up with me in 2 months !! Had a a procedure done today with Dr.Stephen Mahoney, it was quick and easy, very kind and caring, the Nurse practioner was Awesome and also the Staff were very helpful and nice. I highly recommend this office

Recently I had the pleasure of having an appointment with Dr. Mahoney to address my battle with Psoriasis. I have struggled with Psoriasis for the past 20 or so years, in that time I was poked, prodded, and given multiple steroidal drugs to help identify what would help me calm and or cope with my Psoriasis to no avail whatsoever. After one visit with Dr. Mahoney, and a clear explanation of the cause, methods of treatment, and options available to me. I was confident in the recommendations I was given and chose to move forward with the SKYRIZI medication. After one injection of the SKYRIZI medication, I began to see results within days. My skin started clearing up and legions that I had had for years began to disappear. A month later I went in for my follow-up happy to report that almost all my skin was in full healing with no side effects. I have now taken my second injection and I am overjoyed to see continual healing throughout my body. The last remnants of the evidence of the Psoriasis are fading away. I feel like a new man. I was diagnosed with psoriasis about 5 years ago. i had it on my hands, inside my ears, my scalp, all over my legs and elbows. I was prescribed clobetasol ointment which never did any good. Because I’m on Medicare, insurance wouldn’t cover the injections. I was given no other alternatives. I was very discouraged to say the least. A few months ago I was referred to Dr Mahoney by a friend. My first visit was very positive. He suggested alternatives and after a little over a month and a half my psoriasis is gone. I’m beyond thrilled and so thankful I finally found a doctor who gave me hope. I would highly recommend him to anyone who has given up on their psoriasis diagnosis. Today was my first visit to a Dermatology office. The initial impression was how kind the staff was. A procedure was needed that required a shot to numb the area. (And I don't like needles.) Kay took care to administer the shot while being empathetic to the slight discomfort. She was very sweet. The nurse practioner, Valerie, was excellent as well. I want to first thank Dr. Mahoney and his team they’ve been the most outstanding group of people that I’ve ever dealt with. A little backstory, I’ve dealt with plaque psoriasis for over seven years. No doctor could ever prescribe me anything that actually works. From day one Dr. Mahoney was honest very encouraging. He found a treatment on day one that has ultimately cleared my psoriasis almost completely. After years of embarrassing dryness and gross outbreaks, I have finally found my cure! Dr. Stephen Mahoney with West Houston Dermatology gave me my life back. I was afraid I would never get better; psoriasis had robbed me of the life and the local dermatologist was not helping.
