List of Dorovenia Koch's Reviews
Called regarding a few questions I had and the lady who I spoke with was very rude, I was recommended by a work friend to see Dr. Dorovenia but now I’m just very discouraged
Dr. Koch is very friendly, caring, understanding and always willing to help and answer any questions I or my daughter might have. After my daughter's visit, the doctor gave us a hug and wished us good holidays because we won't see her till next year 😢 She is the best OB/GYN!
My previous doctor retired and Dr. Koch was recommended. I had my very first visit with Dr. Koch and I was VERY pleased!!!! Dr. Koch is such a sweet, patient, professional. She is friendly and I totally felt comfortable with her along with her very friendly and efficient staff!!! I also got my mammogram orders and my prescription sent to my pharmacy within the hour of seeing her. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Koch! I thank them very much!!!
At my first appointment I had an ultrasound and the doctor just came in after and asked if I had any questions and then left. Didn’t say anything about if the ultrasound was okay or not. Then when my blood work came back abnormal I tried calling the office and they advised she was out of office for the week. Then when I had my glucose test the front desk failed to schedule an actual doctors appointment. When I brought it to their attention after my glucose test she said the soonest was two weeks from that date since the doctor was again out of office for the week. Then comes my appointment day and I wait in the office for twenty minutes just for the front office to say their systems are down and they have cancel everyone’s appointment but can’t reschedule at this time. At this point it has been 6 weeks from the last time I have had a doctors appointment and the office didn’t even know when they’d be able to see me. I chose to switch offices to have a doctor and office staff I can depend on especially now going into my third trimester. Very disappointed by the lack of care.
I have to say, it pains me to write this review because I LOVED Dr. Koch. I had 2 successful surgeries with her, one being a minor, and the other being a major. My issue is with the office staff, and I’m not quite sure if it’s just laziness or lack of communication between staff members. The thing that pushed me over the edge was the constant phrase of “we will call you back.” That is the biggest lie ever, in fact they have only ever called me back ONCE out of the what… 10… 20 times I’ve needed a response. I will say scheduling my second surgery was so incredibly stressful, all because a staff member didn’t bother to tell me they were waiting for authorization from the insurance… well the day they requested it is the day they got it. And I had the paper work, but no one even bothered to ask me. Also, if you want to get refills, everyone will give you a different story, including the line “we will call you back.” Or they will tell you they sent it in, even though they never did. My second surgery was a major surgery and I was also not properly treated for my pain afterwards. I had a pain pump, and pain medicine that wasn’t working. I got no relief from the pain pump, and little to no relief from the pain medicine so I called to see if they could up my dose. Well sure, they called me back and told me I could take 2 pills at a time every 4 hours instead of 1 every 6 hours. Well, they failed to tell me that when I ran out of the 30 pills there would be no refills… not even a week into my surgery. Because I ran out from them uping my dosage. Which in my mind is pure negligence. They also told me they couldn’t refill my narcotic because of TX laws, which is true but they could have written a new prescription but choose not to. If you are so afraid of the DEA, just don’t prescribe narcotics in the first place and figure out a way to properly treat your patients after their surgery without them. My last and final complaint was a blatant lie said to me by a staff member that the doctor wasn’t around and she couldn’t refill my medicine, when in fact another staff member told me that she had been in the office all day. And come to find out a staff member is the one who denied my narcotic refill without a call to explain why, not even the doctor actually denied it. I will be taking my care elsewhere in the future. It’s disappointing because I really enjoyed Dr. Koch. She was probably one of the best doctors I’ve ever been too… and she is very talented in surgery but her office staff has told me too many lies. It’s no longer worth the drive.
Dr. Koch is a great doctor, she has the best patient care I have ever seen! My wife feels so welcome and safe coming to her. Dr. Koch answers all of our questions with excellent detail. She’s the best OBGYN in El Paso by far.
Having Dr.Koch as my gyn provider has been an amazing experience! She’s very attentive and has amazing bed side manner! Her staff always tries to help when I need refills and they contact me fairly quickly always! Very blessed to have her as my provider :)
They would say I'm putting your Prescriptions in now I go to get them and they never put them in this is the 4th time. like right now I been trying to get my needles for my insulin for 2days now cause I'm pregnant but now the pharmacy i went to says I need to go online to tricare and activate them then I can get them. the office assistants never told me this I'm stressing out about not getting it I'm already 7 months pregnant... because of them I really should have been on insulin 2 weeks ago!!!! I'm still trying though let's hope tomorrow will be better!!!! Cause tomorrow I'm going out of town!!! I love my doctor! but I'm thinking of switching to people who can help me get what I need for my health and for my unborn baby I don't know what to do at this point other than trying again tomorrow
Doctor Khoch is the Best in El Paso Tx. Always humble always down to earth, always their when me and my Girlfriend when we have questions and need Answers.. She Delivered my two beautiful boys, and now on to the 3rd One. Doctor koch is very professional, always on point. Thank you for Everything and God Bless you
I hate coming to her new office. The staff is condescending and dont even pretend to care. They like to answer the phone in speaker mode with patients around. I have called for 2 months now to have my iud removed and replaced. I called at the beginning of may they told me dr was out for personal reasons and couldn't schedule me till june 3rd. I said okay. June 3rd i just sat in the room and they told me i couldnt get it done till the 24th. I said okay. June 17th they call and said shed be out till july 1st. Almost 2months to get seen is ridiculous. I love Dr koch but its ridiculous its not worth the hassle.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
