This is the worst doctor I have ever been to. Javier De la Torre was truly ignorant about the condition I was there for and instead of looking it up, he tried saying it was something else and disagreed with what happened to me. He said that he didn't have time to look it up as he had other patients. He refused to listen to me and my concerns and just wanted to peddle his glasses. He dismissed the sudden loss of vision that I was experiencing. I was in a vulnerable state and very worried but he could not be bothered. He is obviously not used to dealing with educated patients. De La Torre is truly the most ignorant man, claiming to be a doctor that I have ever dealt with! He is in the wrong profession! Thankfully, I went to a competent eye doctor the following week.This place was a total waste of time, money and energy!

Dr De La Torre, is an excellent eye Dr. He was the only one that knew what was wrong with me. Because of his solid skills and training, he saved my life. I am grateful for Dr. Dr la Torre and highly recommend him.

Been with Dr DLT for 5 years after suffering a sudden autoimmune disorder that left me with -6 vision over night. Dr has made my vision and health a priority and even went as far as coming in on weekends to treat me. This Dr. is precisely more of what we need!

Dr de la Torre was real rude. Like it was an inconvenience having to go in and talk to us. I was there for my mother and was also in need of a doctor to see about my care but now I will be going somewhere else.

I had Lasik performed on both eyes with Dr. de la Torre. I was initially hesitant to have an elective surgery concerning my eyes but Dr. de la Torre and his staff do a comprehensive exam and evaluation to ensure you are a good candidate for the procedure and answer any questions you have. He has an excellent bedside manner and every step of the procedure was explained. My vision improved from 20/200 to 20/20 so I couldn't be happier!

I can see better than My husband: Very nervous at first about this procedure quickly went away after meeting Dr. Javier De La Torre. M.D. and the professional staff at southwest eye institute. Dr. Javier De La Torre and all his assistants answers all questions, showed videos, and provided other important do's and dont's about the lasik procedure. My family now benefits from the procedure.
