Amazing human being that truly cares about his patients. Once again thank you so much for the great work on my gastric sleeve surgery. God bless you sir!!!!!

He operated on my sick grandma (gastric bypass) and she suffered many complications!! All those times the ambulance had to rush her to the er at different times during the night, and not once did he follow up with her or speak with her face to face. He killed my mom and he got a slab on the wrist in court! This was in 2011. 2020 and he still refuses to see his mistake. DON'T TRUST THIS DOCTOR!!!!

the doctor is so rude !!! and the service is really bad

I've never been seen by Dr. Lara however, I've know him since kindergarten and we grew up together through high school as well. In knowing him all those years I've known him to be a very sweet, caring, sincere and gentle individual. I was online looking for another physicians and Dr. Michael Lara's name popped up and noticed a couple of reviews. We are all human and at times don't feel well or had a bad day for whatever reason. His demeanor may have been due to something else happening in his life and possibly came across a rude or standoffish. It happens, maybe you should give him another chance and not judge so harshly. He's a person of integrity and respect. I enjoyed being friends with him throughout the years. Respectfully, Yamira Anna Diaz

I went in with my mother to help her. She's hard of hearing, and gets nervous, so I go to help her if she can't hear, or forgets to ask questions. He was incredibly rude. No bedside manner at all. Completely unprofessional. He would ask her questions, then cut her off mid-sentence. He told her, her issue was from a surgery from 1980, and for her to go back to those Dr.s. He had no empathy, grossly rude, and acted so bothered. I can just imagine how he speaks to elderly who go in alone. He has no business working in the medical field. None

When I spoke to him during my office visit he was very condescending and rude. He walked in angry and did not even acknowledge my family member in the room with me. He also dismissed all of my symptoms. On the plus side the office staff was nice and it was easy to get an appointment with him, however I will not be rescheduling again.

I had gastric bypass surgery in 2010 and maintain my goal weight. I feel that the follow up from the staff is excellent. The treatment I received from the consultation, to the day of the surgery, to current is excellent. He stresses that intimately the success of the surgery and keeping the weight off is up to the patient. We have to take responsibility for your health. He gives us the tools but it's up to us. I am the healthiest I have ever been!!!!

My experience with Dr Lara has been very positive. Professional yet personable, knowledgable and attentive.

Dr. Lara has performed several surgeries on me in the last 5 years, and I have been very pleased with his bedside manner, professionalism, knowledge, and how well he explains things. He has given me all facts, and possible complications or outcomes. Two of my surgeries were emergencies, and I had to be transferred from another hospital to his hospital.
