Wonderful Dr, treated my elbow and after quite a period of pain I finally got relief. Very caring and attentive.
He put me back together after a bad accident 15 years ago. Still going strong. I am grateful. Wonderful surgeon.
Visited Doctor last week. He spent 5 minutes in the room and never saw him again. Inhad questions and his nurse told me he was busy. I've tried to reach him 3 times in 1 weeka, because i needed my pain medication change. Well, it was just as bad as my visit. NOT THERE!!! I've left 3 messages and have had no calls. All then meantime I have no pain medication. Absolute worst doctor visit and staff I've ever encountered. I feel this business may not be around much longer!!
Kind, Caring, really listens. That is rare and I am very happy with him. His office staff were great, I didn't have to wait long for an appointment, and have nothing but good things to say about him and his staff.
Dr. Protzman is very good and after surgery I was soon able to get back to playing tennis without pain. Thank you Dr. Protzman!
Our very active family of 6 have all seen Dr. Protzman over the past 11 years. He is a very skilled and caring surgeon. Our entire family highly recommends him.
We met with Dr Protzman for my daughters broken arm. He was friendly and very professional with me and my daughter. We waited less than 1 hour to see him. The last orthopaedic specialist we met with in El Paso, we waited over two hours for every appointment so I was very surprised and happy with the short wait time.
My youngest daughter and I had our first and LAST appointment with this Dr. After waiting 3 hours to see him, he didn't even give us a minute of uninterrupted time.As soon as he walked in and asked us one question he walked out without excusing himself, he walked back in 10 min later repeated to ask same question than walked out after getting another phone call ,in total he walked out 4 times on us and asked us the same question (how old are you?) Every time he walked back in the room.he never once looked us in the eye, had his back turned to us to look at computer screen never greeted us or anything, the last time he walked out he was on the phone had us waiting longer than the last... we finally got up and walked out to find another Dr, he saw us and wasn't at all apologetic, just gave us excuses about being too busy, I understand his time is valuable, but so is mine. He's unprofessional and rude!I wouldn't recommend him to anyone, I let our pediatrician know he should never send any more of his patients to Dr Protzman ever again.
My appointment was at 1:15pm, got here at 1pm signed in an everything. I didn't get called in until 2:20pm and then waited some more, ridiculous!!!!!!
Too busy to actually care for his patients. He performed knee surgery on my diabetic mother. Did not check the wound for ten days although he knew she was at high risk for infection. She developed sepsis. Only reason it was discovered was because my sister pulled her gauze down to look. Now my mother has been hospitalized for six weeks and is getting ready to have a knee fusion which will leave her with one leg shoter than the other. Needles to say he has been fired as her surgeon!Dr. Protzman your comment "I'm sorry you feel that way" is not good enough! My mother almost lost her life. She had a total of 14 surgeries after yours to try to save her life. Look at the pictures. How do they look to you? Do you think "I'm sorry you feel that way" is sufficient? She was hospitalized from December 2017 to May 2018. She has a metal rod from her hip down to her ankle. She is in a wheel chair now and completely dependent on others for her daily living activities. So no, she will not be calling your office for anything.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
