I was so pleased with my visit with Dr. Shada. She did a thorough evaluation of my history and she not only listened but she asked questions.i found her to be professional, kind., and very warm.

So it appears several people are having the same issues, especially when it comes to an adhd diagnosis. I only had two appointments, both times I had to wait an hour and a half just to see her, and each session was maybe 20 mins max. I have uni and could only schedule appointments between classes so that is important time that I cannot just waste. Which btw, during the second session, it just seemed like the first one didn't even happen so I had to repeat things I already said before, things she would already have on record like the meds I'm taking. Told her my only concern was the adhd and its the reason I came there. Talked about my adhd symptoms many times and my inability to focus since childhood and got nowhere. Kept being told that it was my depression and anxiety (both only very mild and managable now btw) that were the main factors making me have trouble concentrating. Mind you, I told her these symptoms that line up exactly with adhd that dont even have anything to do with other mental illnesses, and that they've been consistent throughout my whole life (which I have only been depressed for a small portion of it) but she was so caught up in only the concentration issues and that depression also causes concentration issues, so that must be what it is. So apparently me telling her that my mind constantly goes wandering to unrelated, non-anxious thoughts like what I ate for breakfast yesterday or how that poster on the wall is so very interesting and distracting is all because of my mood. Uh, yeah, sure. I told her all I wanted was an adhd diagnosis and then she went on about how everyone can take a quiz online to see if they have adhd but it doesnt mean its diagnosable like diagnosing CSF to get a spinal tap procedure and all this other unrelated stuff. She does not have a deep, full understanding of what adhd is. Go find someone else who actually gets it. I'd say the only upside is that she's nice and sympathetic.

The Doctor took care of me

The doctor is so compassionate and understanding. She knows my needs better than I and that is comforting. She is willing to help and goes above and beyond.

Overall, it was a good appointment. Everyone was friendly, and the staff was nice. However, I found myself confused about the MD's intentions. She outlined what I should do, but did not clearly explain the plan to me. I left thinking I had to get the tests she recommended elsewhere, not realizing they could have been done there.

Dr. SHADA was an amazing doctor. She listens and knows how to approach teens. The scheduling and waiting can be challenging; but if your kid needs help from the best. The wait is worth it.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Shada for my mental health, and I can honestly say she is one of the most kind-hearted and compassionate psychiatrists I’ve ever met. She truly takes the time to listen and understand, making me feel heard and supported at every visit. It’s clear she genuinely cares about her patients and goes above and beyond to help them feel safe and comfortable. Her staff is equally wonderful—they’re always welcoming, professional, and kind, which makes every appointment smooth and stress-free. The entire office has such a positive and calming atmosphere. I’m incredibly grateful to have found Dr. Shada and her team. If you’re looking for a psychiatrist who is knowledgeable, patient, and truly dedicated to your well-being, I can’t recommend her enough!

Dr. Shada is an amazing doctor, and her office is also great. She takes her time and is very thorough. She truly makes our appointments a safe place. Whenever I need a refill or have any questions, she and her office immediately respond. Highly recommend
