Jayaraman Ravindran's Online Review Report Card

Was referred to this office by my doctor. I have called several times just to get an appointment. I left several messages that were never returned. Not sure at all about this doctor or how is staff runs the office. You can call and you will never get a person it’s always leave a message.

Terrible dr doesnt care about helping you at all

I’ve been going to Dr. Ravindran for almost 9 years. Both he and Ami, his medical assistant, have always been approachable and kind to me over the years. I remember being very nervous for my first appointment but they were welcoming and informative; making me feel comfortable in that moment and every appointment thereafter.

This doctor prescribed an addictive medication for my condition and I became addicted. When I called his office concerned about my prescription being refilled his office staff played games with me by transferring my call from one phone to another. I could hear laughter in the background each time the phone was answered but received no answer as to whether or not the prescription had been called in to the pharmacy as renewed. I kept repeating the question but the call would be transferred though I could hear background laughter. Finally, I lost my temper and insisted that either my question be answered or I be allowed to speak with the office manager or the doctor at which point I was disconnected. The pharmacy called later that evening to say my prescription had been renewed for a one time refill only. A few days later I received a letter from the doctor's office stating that I should find another neurologist. The doctor should have investigated the matter or at least spoken with me, instead he just took the word of his staff and left an addicted patient to hang out to dry.

I felt horrible after my visit. I have never been to a neurologist, don't really know the area of expertise. My doctor referred me after dealing with pain for a very long time. I have intense pain in every part of my body. Numbness, tingling, burning stabbing, spasms, aches, it keeps me up at night, I fall out of bed because I can't lay still. He totally blew me off, seemed annoyed I was there. Stood up after 10 minutes, in the middle of a sentence. Guess time was up I feel completely hopeless

Dr Ravindran is an excellent doctor. Was thorough in his diagnosis and didn't put me through unnecessary testing, etc. After a fainting spell in which I broke my ankle it was found that my blood pressure med was causing the issue. I highly recommend him!

I believe he is caring, but I had a definite communication problem with him. I did not feel he respected what my observations were regarding my own health. I also did not care for his office bldgs policy of not permitting a patient transferring by their own choice, to an office colleague. When I finally asserted these frustrations to him, he did me a big favor by referring me to another neurologist, and I am thrilled with the change.
