Don't bother going if you're black, especially if you have a pertinent issue, she'll send you home without treating your UTI while also assuming that you quit school, and will proceed to make inflammatory and presumptuous comments despite having just met you. Horrible experience, I filed a complaint immediately and made moves to switch primary care physicians.

Only visit this doctor if you are okay with someone who will intentionally lie about your charts and refuse service based on the color of your skin. I visited this Dr. Kancharla at the Deer Point location of the JPS hospital, after she was selected to be my PCP. Upon our initial visit, Dr. Kancharla made various micro-aggressive and prejudicial remarks that culminated in her repeatedly refusing to test me for the initial issue that the appointment was made for until I requested that she mark "refusal to administer test" in my chart. She denied my medical history despite this being the first time that she had met me and put my health in harms way. My tests came back positive for a UTI, and she sent me home without telling me and without a prescription, leaving me to discover the positive results by reading my lab results on the way home and having to call back the hospital to complain. Don't put your health at risk, the woman is a racist and is not afraid to leave you untreated.
