List of Lauren Banks's Reviews
I'm honestly surprised by all of the great reviews for Dr. Banks. I stuck with her through my whole pregnancy since it was the beginning of the pandemic and I didn't know what other options I had. Yes, she appears to be very positive and friendly but she comes into the room like a tornado. Extremely high energy and talking 1000 words a minute. You can clearly tell she's overbooked and just rushing to get to the next patient. She would always be half-way out the door and I would have to stop her and tell her I had a question. If I had a simple question, she would tell me I could check their website instead of just giving me the answer. Or would say things like, well I'm sure you already googled this so you already know. I started bleeding after she checked my cervix dilation at 38 weeks. The bleeding never stopped and only got worse. I called and was told by the nurse that Dr. Banks said it was fine. I started bleeding after she checked my cervix dilation at 38 weeks. The bleeding never stopped and only got worse. I called and was told by the nurse that Dr. Banks said it was fine. At 40 weeks I felt a gush of blood come out so I went to the ER and from what I hear, she made the call to induce me that day. I never heard from or saw Dr. Banks until I was nearly delivering. She popped in to say hi and that she would be back because she had to go do some paperwork....she never came back until I was practically done pushing. Again, like a tornado. When I asked her for details on what happened or what had gone wrong she said not to worry about it right now and that she would go over everything with me at my 6 week appt. At that appt she didn't explain anything to me...just rushed me out again. After looking back on it, I realized that she appears nice and upbeat but it's a façade since she is actually disingenuous and cold. I truly wish I had never gone to her....I think a lot of things with my labor and delivery would have turned out differently.
Thank you so much for taking time to sit and speak with me during my most recent Annual Well-Womens visit, Dr. Banks. After many years with the same GYN, I was so glad to make the change and trust someone new (closer to my house). Your positive energy and your willingness to communicate and not feel rushed meant so much. Many thanks!
Dr Banks has been my obgyn trough two pregnancies and deliveries. She has wonderful bedside manner and has always made time to answer all of my questions. There front staff and nurses at the practice are always great too.
She has been my OBGYN for about 5 years, and she’s the BEST EVER! So kind, so patient, and so understanding. She’s genuine. She’s birthed 1 of my babies and helped me through a miscarriage as well. I’m currently expecting another and I wouldn’t chose anyone else to see me through it.
She is an absolutely delightful doctor! Sheis caring and knowledgeable.
I have to second another reviewer- the office staff is AWFUL! This is such a shame because the nursing staff and doctors are great- BUT with the check in/checkout process your appt is sandwiched by the office's unnecessary and blatant attitude. I have transferred to a new practice bc I've been treated this way at every interaction (in person or phone); I feel spoke down to every occasion- I just can't do that for 9 months. Someone please tell (Deondra?) that patient care is NOT her calling.
Dr. Banks is the best gynecologist I've ever had! All of my previous gynecologists have made me feel awkward, uncomfortable, and extremely nervous. Dr. Banks however, didn't once make me feel anxious or uncomfortable. I used to avoid getting my well-woman exams for years because of my past experiences. I'm so lucky to have found this doctor and will never avoid a yearly check up again!
Dr. Banks is great! She is patient, answers questions in an understanding (but not dumbed-down) way, and seems willing to spend with you whatever time you need. Her office staff, unfortunately, is another story. I was told to arrive 45 minutes early for extra paperwork, then when I arrived at the requested time and asked for the paperwork, they acted like I was crazy. Her staff also made me pay for a service that is 100% covered under my insurance before I left the office.
Dr banks has both up to date knowledge and great bedside manner. She delivered my baby and was fantastic through out the process. I highly recommend her

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
