List of Vicki J Allen's Reviews
I was not impressed with Dr. Allen, she came across as not listening and trying to be funny, which she wasn't. She seemed to be more concerned about me getting my pap smear and mammogram than the problem I came in with. She was correct in her diagnosis but failed miserably in the after care. #1 she was supposed to send in a prescription that day, she didn't. #2 She said she would call me in a day with the results of my biopsy, she didn't call me. I had to call and leave a message. She was prompt in returning my call but I had to remind her she didn't call in the prescription, she didn't tell my what I have is chronic, she didn't know that anything about the immunotherapy I was on for cancer, and she prescribed the standard medicine. After research on my own, I should not be on that medicine and I need to be on something for the rest of my life. She didn't say to come back for a follow-up, only be sure to make an appointment for my pap smear, which I have cancelled.
Do not go and see this woman! She was trying to be funny and wasn't. I have been treated with melanoma and was on a immunotherapy treatment and when I told her what the name of the drug was, she didn't know it. It is advertised on TV and well known. She was correct in her diagnosis of what I went in for. She was supposed to send in a prescription - she forgot. She was supposed to call me with the biopsy results - she didn't. When I called and left a message, she was prompt in returning my call but I again had to tell her what immunotherapy drug I had been taking, she again didn't know what it was and failed to tell me what I have is chronic. The medicine she finally sent in - she didn't give me a time frame on how long to take it. I told her I was allergic to Prednisone and the medicine she prescribed if you are allergic to Prednisone - you shouldn't be on this medicine!! She was more concerned about me getting a pap smear than anything else. I have since gone to a dermatologist only to learn what I have is chronic, I have to take medicine every day for it OR it will result in skin cancer! I just got over Skin cancer!!! She's not a good doctor or comedian!!
Dr Vicki Allen is very talented and professional. She delivered my baby girl on August. She is very helpful and try to answer all the questions that I used to ask on my appointment. Since I had a gestational diabetes when I was pregnant, she helped me and gave me some tips on how to control it. She also did my papsmear a long time ago and she is amazing. If you choose and go with her you won’t regret it. She is one of the amazing doctor that I met and I love her and will go back again.
Dr. Allen delivered my first baby and was my doctor for many years before that. As a first time mom, she was amazing. She answered my questions and didn't make me feel like I was wasting her time. She joked with my husband and made the whole experience amazing for us both. I am switching back to her and driving an hour to see her. My current OB (because I moved) is terrible and I will make that drive every time to a doctor that cares. My current doctor won't even look at or speak to my husband, like it's not his baby in there. He has the right to ask questions too. Dr. Allen is amazing and I can't wait to get back on track with her.
Dr. Allen is absolutely amazing! I have been a patient of this practice since I moved to Flower Mound in 1999. Dr. Rose delivered both of my children who are now 19 and 16. When Dr. Rose passed away (which has been quite some time now), I began seeing Dr. Allen. Just last Wednesday, April 7th 2021, she performed my laparoscopic hysterectomy which went extremely well. I am so amazed how well I am doing after just 4 days. Dr. Allen is a fantastic doctor as is the staff at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital of Flower Mound. I don't understand some of these other reviews as I have always had a wonderful experience with this practice. I highly recommend Dr. Allen and this group of doctors.
I have been coming here for eight years (since I was 16). Dr.Allen is receptive, knowledgeable, and caring. I have never once had a bad experience here, and I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a great OBGYN.
Won't be going back. Dr Allen took little interest in me, and was short with my visit. Even walking out the door to her next appointment as I was still talking! Choose another...
FIND A DOCTOR WHO CARESMy first visit was so unpleasant while trying to explain my history about my excessive bleeding. I came in to hopefully search for a cure but was put down immediately like most doctors have but Dr.Allen was blunt and sort of rude when she explained there was nothing I could do “I just happen to bleed a lot”. So I gave up and just accepted the fact that she was just another Doctor that probably wanted me on birth control for the rest of my life to make money off my prescriptions. Especially when she prescribed me a “higher” dose and it didn’t even work when I specifically told her of another med that I knew did. Oh and because of COVID I was stuck taking it until she returned to the office. I was so upset about the first visit that I didn’t even want to come to my mandatory pap exam in order to get a refill on the meds that I have to take forever to prevent bleeding. They rescheduled that exam so many times that I came on the wrong day too and was sent home. When we finally did the exam, I asked to be put back on my birth control I had before her. A couple weeks later and I started to bleed heavier than usual which isn’t usual in the first place so I called again. Again I asked for the prescription I knew worked in the past but I still haven’t got a call about whether or not it was approved by her and I didn’t even get my pap results either from weeks ago! I know it’s a long review, but hopefully it warns others. She obviously doesn’t have passion for her job anymore and I don’t want anyone to feel upset or helpless like I have and still do.
In 2016, Dr Allen delivered my son. She was absolutely amazing. She is extremely friendly and answered all of my questions. In 2018, Dr Allen saved my life after she delivered my daughter. She said the whole time after I had my child for her nurses to continuously check me and the last time they checked me I was rushed into surgery. She was leading a wonderful team at the hospital. I am extremely grateful for her. I lost her as a doctor because my insurance dropped her, but found out recently she is back on my insurance and I could not be more blessed to have her as my doctor again.
Dr. Allen is extremely knowledgable and professional. She is extremely attentive and listens to patient concerns and has an overall awareness of patient wellness needs. Best gyn I have ever had, been through quite a few over 25 years.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
