This office helped get me the care I need. The staff and Dr went above and beyond for me and my family. I would highly recommend them to everyone looking for great care.
This was an extremely strange experience for me. I came in with heel pain. The nurse took xrays and started setting out needles before I even saw the doctor. I asked what they were for, and she said just to be ready in case I needed an injection. The doctor came in and explained my diagnosis... didn't really ask if I wanted the injection in my foot or the pros/cons, just said that it's what we were doing and went for it. Thankfully I've had some experience with family having similar issues so I felt okay with this, but I would appreciate more explanation before needles go into my body. He said he'd give me a prescription for a steroid and physical therapy. I got impressions taken for shoe inserts that I was told would be $65 total with the boot to sleep in because I've met my deductible, and I went on my merry way. Here's where it all fell apart. 1) I went to the pharmacy and there were two prescriptions, one that he'd said nothing about. 2) I was never sent a prescription for physical therapy. 3) I went back later to get the inserts and told them they didn't fit me - I argued with three people who all made me feel absolutely insane for thinking they didn't fit. They said there was a 30 day return policy, which is great but I was in the process of moving so I wasn't able to get back there to argue again that they wouldn't fit and thought... well.. it's just $65 and I don't have the time... oh well. 4) Months later I received a bill for $800 for the inserts. Once it was too late to exchange them for ones that fit now that I know they were NOT $65. I am an accountant/auditor. I remember when people tell me how much things will cost. They office staff provided me completely inaccurate information. I have since seen another podiatrist in my new city who immediately understood why the inserts didn't fit and we are trying to make them work since I spent so much... but I am still completely livid with this clinic. The lack of accurate communication and telling me I don't understand over and over was infuriating. I strongly suggest looking elsewhere.
My husband has the feet of a diabetic but isn’t a diabetic. He had been misdiagnosed with plantar fasciitis by several podiatrist in this area. We have had a very long road to help him keep his foot!! After long surgeries, many procedures in the office, countless infections, and lots of after hours phone calls… we are going on a very special trip to Mexico! He has taken care of my mother and my daughter too! Walks on the beach are possible because of Doc C! Thanks Doc!
Hands down the best!!! If I can give them indefinite stars I would. My foot started bleeding the night before and I called them early morning next day because I was afraid of infection for what was an ingrown nail. I called at 8:00 (new pt) and Rosita the receptionist and team were super awesome and was able to get me in first thing in the morning which was amazingly super fast and I was so thankful because my foot was freaking me out. Dr. Cerniglia was super professional from start to finish and explained to me everything that was happening and would happen. He even noticed my other foot also had an ingrown problem and wow I wasn't expecting him to work on both my toes in which I was very thankful for his time and professionalism. To say the least I was super comfortable the staff know what they are doing and now I'm a happy camper at home following all instructions. I have my follow up in two weeks and my overall experience was one of the best I have ever had. I highly recommend this office as they will take care of you in the most professional way....you will not be disappointed.
Dr. Cregnilia and his staff are true professionals. I’ve been a patient for over a decade now and in that decade he has performed extensive surgery on both feet with a few minor in-office procedures sprinkled here and there. I went in for x-rays today and it’s wonderful to see that time has not changed his direct attitude and bedside manner.
Very refreshing to speak to someone who understood exactly what was happening. After a year of dealing with pain in my left foot, I'm excited with their approach. Very professional staff and I highly recommend Ankle and Foot Institute of Texas.
Doctor and staff take great care of my mother when she fell and broke her foot. She’s been there for other issues with her feet and doctor and staff are ALWAYS so helpful. I also appreciate them dealing with my concerns about my elderly mother as-well and taking the time to explain everything to me!
Excellent Staff Doc was focused and high concerns for my needs.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
