Dr. Castaneda has repaired 3 hernias for me over the past 10 years. I am a complicated patient due to many past abdominal surgeries, but he is highly skilled and has taken great care of me. I enjoy his personality as a doctor and trust his decisions. The nursing staff at the hospitals where he has operated on me all rave about him as well, which is the highest praise. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone.

Umbilical hernia surgery on July 31, 2020. It was conducted using an open technique as it was a smallish hernia. Operation lasted maybe 30 minutes. Pain was very tolerable in the next two days, and effectively gone after that. 10 days later I'm cleared to do most activities, even running (no stair sprints or anything crazy of course). Dr. Castaneda is friendly, funny, and explains things effectively. His staff is great as well. I will readily go to him again if another surgical need arises.

This place appears to be very unorganized, hard to get in contact with a real person, and hard to get real answers from. Jordan seems very down to earth but it appears that her work load is to heavy and although she’s dr. Casteneda assistant she can’t answer any billing questions and it takes weeks for her to schedule surgery on your behalf. On top of that, after surgery no post op instructions are provided leaving you to have to keep calling to try to get a hold of someone who can provide you with the information you need to heal correctly.

In 2013 Dr Castaneda did emergency surgery on me. I had a gastric bypass some 30 years ago. The band that was around my stomach was inside partially eaten by my stomach.Castaneda did a reverse gastric sleeve repairing my gastric bypass. I have rested my goal weight now 2015.I wish he had follow up as other doctors have.That is only reason I didn't give him 5 stars.Now it’s 2021 and I need to lose 15-20 lbs and don’t how to get it off.

Umbilical hernia surgery, open technique, July 31. Pre-surgery examination went great, surgery went great, recovery is easy. Dr. Castaneda is a cool guy who explains everything very well and is funny to boot. I highly recommend him.

I had my Gallbladder surgery on January 10, 2020 with doctor Antonio Castaneda. I appreciate all his team who were very professional and nice. Everybody at Baylor Scott & White Surgical Hospital was friendly and helpful.With Dr. Castaneda's skills and experience my recovery time after surgery was 3 days. Thank you so much for an excellent procedure!I will definitely choose you a second time if needed and recommend you to my friends and everyone!Thank you again!

Dr. Castaneda and his staff are amazing. His staff is friendly and efficient. Dr. Castaneda is so kind, patient, has a great sense of humor, and is so easy to talk to. My surgery went well and he answered all of my questions before and after surgery. Excellent experience!

Fantastic surgeon, with an excellent bedside manner. Very thorough and quick to address any/all concerns. Not to mention, his staff is amazing! It is very clear that they enjoy what they do in the level of care/attention they give to their patients. You feel as if you are a part of the family here.

Dr Castaneda did my colon surgery when I had colon cancer did great that was five years ago I would recommend him highly and I would use him again in a heartbeat
