Beware that after months of consultation, preparation, screening processes (including sleep study and psych eval, all passed without issue), that Dr. Arsalla Islam's office may decide to terminate you as a patient, without further explanation. Also beware that this could occur as few as two weeks prior to the scheduled procedure date, even if you've had it scheduled for 4 or 5 months in advance and completed all requirements months in advance. Beware. This doctor engages in medical malpractice through mental trauma. After months of prep, Dr. Arsalla Islam may just send you a tersely written letter by certified mail. They won't even call you on the phone. This occurred with me.

My Bariatric Solutions and Dr. Arsalla Islam, M.D. have engaged in medical malpractice through grave psychological damage inflicted on a patient. If you want your family members to live, Avoid this place. Arsalla Islam implanted a fistula on my grandfather's arm on January 2016. For the follow up appt with a different specialist we learned it had been one of the worst surgeries they have seen. Throughout this whole year my grandpa was in and out the ER due to clogging and bleeding out and the specialists always mentioned the bad job Dr. Islam did on his arm. My grandfather passed away yesterday morning because of that bad surgery.

Dr. Islam performed bariatric surgery on me a year and a half ago, she completely botched my surgery. I'm unable to lay flat anymore (not an issue prior to surgery) my acid reflux went from a 7 to a 10, she didn't repair my hernia, and many other issues too long to list. Bottom line my surgery cost around 40k, she butchered me, and now a year and a half later I'm having to find another surgeon to hopefully fix the damage she caused. Please be very careful if you are considering her as your surgeon.

Yesterday my husband went to his appointment with Dr. Islam. Everybody in that office were service oriented, they show they care, Dr. Islam explained everything in detail and responded to all our questions and concerns, she is truly an excellent professional.

My 78 year old mother has received kind, compassionate, and thorough care at this facility. Dr. Islam was very thorough with her exam and honest about what the procedure might achieve. She has recovered well with no complications.
