Assisting Hands's Online Review Report Card

My elderly mother never has a bad word to say about anybody but when she complained about one of the caregivers I knew something must not be right. Her husband also told me she didnt like her. I observed the woman and watched her poor interaction with my mother saw her reading  texts while my mom tried to put on her tight compression hose herself.... so much more...I asked my moms husband if he would like me to contact Assisting Hands Ft. Worth West to ask if we could please have a different caregiver.  He said yes.  The woman immediately went off on me on the phone...telling me we couldnt change caregivers that she was already assigned to my mom and that if this was a problem she would have to call for an investigation I was already paying for the majority of my mothers care and even offered to pay to have the other woman reassigned..It was an awful conversation and this woman was very unprofessional and mean. The following morning it was as if she was Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. She called me back and told me she would change caregivers..as if she was doing me a favor. I later learned this was part of her personality and that she is even worse in her communication with the employees.

I needed someone to stay with my husband while I was at work.  The assistants were always on time and very kind and caring.  They helped prepare meals and other light housework which was a godsend at the time.
