The worst experience I’ve ever had with a provider. Dismissed me and my symptoms, got very frustrated when I asked any clarifying question or asked him to repeat because his English was not the greatest. He would interrupt me mid sentence on multiple occasions. I had to beg and plead to have more labs done. Straight up gaslit me and told me my issues were normal women problems. I got a new Dr and was then diagnosed with a significant thyroid disorder. Please advocate for yourself. I would not suggest this provider to anyone. Every time I was in the office for an appointment I waited at minimum for an hour despite arriving early, at least 30 min in the waiting room and 30 in the exam room. It appears nothing is digitized. You will complete an entire packet of information (hand written) prior to your visit, he will then take the exact blank form and use 60% of your appointment time re-filling it out by asking you line by line—even though you already spent time completing it. Again- I would not recommend this provider to anyone. He left me feeling terrible about myself. I’m very glad I found a new doctor.
Great doctor Dr Castro has really helped me with my diabetes. Great staff.
I love Dr. Castro he helped me with my diabetes and also helped when I was pregnant.
Wonderful Dr. and Staff I have been a patient of Dr. Castro for more than 10 years. As a Type 1 Diabetic I know I am in good hands with him and his staff. I used to work down the street from his office, but now I drive 30 plus minutes to see him because I cannot imagine going to anyone else.
Great doctor rude staff! I’ve been going to Dr. Castro for 15 years. It has been a struggle. Every time I go in the office with the staff. They are very rude, ugly, and curt Dr. Castro himself has been good and that is why I continue to go.
Dr. Castro does take cash only, so plan accordingly. I did not know this, but staff allowed me to run to an ATM real quick and I was still able to see him on my appointment. He checked what he needed do based on my concerns and having not found anything, he instructed staff to give me my money back. I thought that was really nice and not something I've seen in another doctor. I had no issues with his staff or wait time.
This was my first visit to see Dr. Castro and I was really impressed. Dr. Castro and his staff are extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and provided excellent customer service. I have been to many doctors over the years and Dr. Castro is definitely one of the best. I highly recommend Dr. Castro. Scott DeHart

Went to Dr Castro because I'm 38 and just don't feel right. I'm hypo and my body doesn't make enough testosterone so I get the pellet and I wanted to see if a specialist could tell me why. The entire time he's telling me that the problem was high testosterone (explained pellet) and I need to lose weight Just kept saying it was my weight and the high testosterone. I asked how do I get my body to make testosterone. He goes "You're a woman, why do you need testosterone?" and gave me a condescending laugh. He did physical exam, seemed surprised my blood pressure was good. Looking at labs said Blood work was normal then SAID "I'm surprised you don't have diabetes" So he then spent the entire time telling me about diets. Yes I need to lose weight, but that's not the reason I waited 2 months for an appointment.
Went to Dr Castro because I'm 38 and just don't feel right. I'm hypo and my body doesn't make enough testosterone so I get the pellet and I wanted to see if a specialist could tell me if something else was wrong. Any question I had was answered (very condescending) with it's your weight and/or high testosterone (explained pellet). I asked how do I get my body to make testosterone. He goes "You're a woman, why do you need testosterone?" and gave me a condescending laugh. He did a physical exam, seemed surprised my blood pressure was good. Looking at labs said Blood work was normal then "I'm surprised you don't have diabetes" He then spent the rest of the time telling me about diets. Yes I need to lose weight, but I waited 2 months for answers about hormones, not a convo I can have for free with my mother.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
