List of Jay Patel's Reviews
Dr. Patel took care of me through 2 surgeries. One was an emergency. He and his staff have been excellent in helping me recover and timely in responding to my needs.
Excellent and timely care. Great experience!
Over an hr wait for the dr, finally got called to a room then told there were three other pts before me to be seen. Office had an odor. No masks on staff or waiting area. Staff not friendly. Then had to pay to park! Very frustrating overall experience.
Over an hr wait just to get taken to a room, then told there were 3 patients waiting before me. Office stunk! No one wearing masks, not even staff! It’s flu season!!! Plus had to pay to park!!! Wouldn’t recommend.
Dr.Jay Patel did my weight loss surgery, and my experience with the whole staff was wonderful. Jay Patel was honest in his speech about weight loss and made you feel comfortable and not embarrassed to be apart of the weight loss world. I will definitely use him again..
Incompetent is the nicest word I can use to describe this office! For starters Dr. Patel preformed my surgical procedure that caused issues. I later went back to have it checked out and was told to return after my pregnancy. After continuous problems I made another appointment. I waited a month, scheduled for someone to pick up my kids, and had to take my baby with me just to be told when I arrived they are out of network with my insurance and it would cost $80-$207. When I asked why they didn't tell me this before I was told they don't check insurance or notify patients if they are out of network nor the cost. I was also told I would need to fill out the forms I submitted online again because they have been having issues with receiving information. Again another thing they don't care to tell you. And for the kicker they can't tell you how much your appointment is going to cost until after because the price depends on the "level of care". WTH is that supposed to mean? If he does a lazy check up it's $80 and if he actually does what he's supped to then $207? Again It's a check up by surgeon who performed my surgery! They wasted my time and money (literally) (Gas & Parking Fees) which they should reimburse me for. I left and won't be back.
Dr. Patel removed my appendix. Great bedside manner, very informative. Gave me treatment options, explained the procedure and recovery. I'm not qualified to judge a surgery but logic suggests that the quick recovery with little to no pain indicates a high level of skill and finesse. Never used pain medication. What more could you ask for?
Everyone, incuding Dr. Patel were professional and friendly. Treated me with a great deal of respect.
Dr Patel was my doctor 5 years ago. I will not use any other doctor for surgery. He was compassionate and I feel safe in his hands. When I found out that I need surgery again I told my primary doctor that I only wanted him too handle my case.
Staff is polite, prompt, and professional!!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
