List of Metroplex Urology & Transplant Surgery's Reviews
Saw the good doctor today and was impressed. Easy to understand and right to the point. On time, well functioning staff, and a very positive experience.
I have had two bouts of kidney stones that were 10mm in size and Dr. Gould was the most comforting, anxiety reducing doctor I could have asked for. He also has incredibly steady hands as I have had minimal bleeding and pain after both of his procedures. Great bed side manner and the assistants he chooses in the operating room show such great concern and care for their patients.
Nurse Esther was really very rude to my uncle who has a heart problem
I feel VERY fortunate to have Dr Gould as my urologist. He actually listens to the patient. He does what is necessary to bring the patient to his highest level of functionability on all levels of severity. After reading all reviews I concluded that he has dealt with difficult patients & has given the best of treatments. Anyone with a urology problem would do well to have him as their doctor. His in hospital students were also articulate. His outpatient surgery staff were very good as well. Dr Gould is a top doctor.
Didn't address my needs. He wants to do what he wants to do without putting the patient interest in consideration. Regretted I wasted my time with him
Let me first mention, I read through the reviews about Dr David Gould before making an appointment. Several of the reviews were not favorable, however I chose to make the appointment. It’s very important that you take reviews with a grain of salt and not as gospel. My experience with Dr David Gould has been incredible. I’m not a trust worthy person, but Dr David Gould was honest, professional, personable, and just all around an incredible man. I cannot leave out how wonderful his nurse Laura has been to me and to EVERYONE that comes through those doors. Everyone’s experience is going to be different, so I implore you to have your own moments with Dr David Gould and judge for yourself. I plan to stay with his office until my health no longer dictates for me too.
I have to say that Dr Gould is perhaps one of the worst doctors to go to. I visited Dr Gould every 2-4 weeks for 8 months straight and because of his lack of concern for my health my condition gradually worsened over that time period and as my condition progressed I developed many more health issues in my reproductive system. Every time I visited Dr Gould I would have to wait 1-2 hours in the waiting room and when they finally called my name and sat me down in an office I would have to wait about an hour before Gould would step in. He would ask me a few questions and within 3-4 minutes he would leave the room and say "I'll be right back" and never come back. He would send a nurse in who didn't have any significant expertise in this field and they would jot down a few notes, make me do a pee test, and end my appointment. My problem was simple: I had Chlamydia. Because they couldn't figure it out I had chlamydia for 4 months, and when they finally diagnosed me I went to the hospital to get treated. Because of how late I was treated, a vein in my left testicle became varicose, and caused erectile dysfunction. In addition, the infection spread to my prostate, and caused prostatitis. This also contributed to my erectile dysfunction. Of course, I didn't know I had those problems yet so I continued visiting Dr Gould. He did the same thing in every appointment, and never helped me or could figure out what was wrong. He even accused me of attempting to get a viagra prescription, which I never wanted. I wanted the real issue fixed, not to treat the symptoms. Eventually after 4 more months of visiting Dr Gould and never getting help I discovered what my issues were and visited the hospital to get them taken care of. After I took things into my own hands I was able to get help. I got antibiotics for my prostatitis at the hospital and scheduled a microsurgery for my varicose veins in my left testicle. Unfortunately my medical bills added up to $20,000. 3 years later I still struggle with my varicose vein to this day and will have to get another procedure done to fix it which will cost me $15,000. In total, it will have been $35,000 to fix my issue, which could have been avoided on my first appointment if Gould could have just sat down for 1 hour to hear me. I don't recommend him, and I will never be back at his office again.
Do not!!!!!! I repeat DO NOT go to Dr. Gould!!! He uses patients as his cash cows!!! He does repeated procedures on his patients never rectifying the problem!!!! My uncle has had four procedures within a 16 month period. He has a few health issues and going up under anesthesia over and over again is not good. He's been in excruciating pain and Dr. Gould with his fast talking, uninterested and unprofessional self hasn't cared at all. I wouldn't take my worst enemy to him!!! You've been warned. He only cares about the money I am telling you!!!!
Do not use Dr. Gould as a urologist, I made the mistake in allowing him to operate on me and he damaged me for life. Now I am looking at a complete bladed replacement because urine backing up into my kidneys. My original problem was never voiding dysfunction he also created this. It has been almost 2years and now I am under the care of Mayo Clinic. Please beware of all your options before you let someone operate on you!!!
Dr Gould is very proven and skilled in my experience having performed lithotripsy after admission from ER to remove a 7.4 mm stone in right ureter. CT showed larger stone 3.4cm also in my kidney and he followed through with 2nd more complicated procedure to break up that stone in surgery. 2 additional lithotripsy procedures were scheduled to flush out larger particles and a stent was placed and last procedure to further flush out particles and take out stent. I prefer this Urologist/ Surgeon. He has always proven he cared and as I still deal with stones from primary parathyroid disease, I will see him in the future if I need to. There is a reason for kidney stones. And, there is a reason I see Dr David Gould. He has proven success in my care and I trust him. Results are all I care about!!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
