List of Sara Matani, Md's Reviews
I really appreciate the concern and openness shown to me by Dr. Matani.
It is always a easy place to get my meds worked out
I should have listened when others warned me about seeking care at this office. I had never intended to see Dr Matani originally but she was the one with the first availability and i was told you aren’t allowed to switch drs here. At first I really liked her, she seemed like she listened…. Until she had her second baby and then she didn’t seem very concerned with the issues I’ve been having. I was up for different Insurance and this office didn’t accept my new insurance so I took that as a sign that maybe I needed to see someone else…. Only to have the new Dr that did accept my insurance not run a full lab panel and explicitly tell me they never do and won’t. I had good reason for wanting a full panel and after two attempts to receive a full panel I just had it done by my functional medicine Dr so I could try to confirm some suspicions I was having. The last labs did confirm so I called dr Matanis office to make sure they indeed didn’t take my insurance… they didn’t so I made a virtual appointment as a cash patient trying to get some help for myself…. Even if it meant switching back to a cash patient situation, evict isn’t ideal but at least she ran full panels. Thinking maybe she’ll be more helpful now since some time has passed amd I had a better idea now of what was causing it etc. I just needed guidance on my current medication and dosages. Rgat was it! only to check in for the virtual visit and be told I have to have labs done by her specifically, which is ridiculous as she didn’t have a problem looking at labs previously she didn’t order, used same lab she sent me to etc. I explained that there were two providers because I wasn’t getting what I needed and the one that finally ordered my full panel only did so as a favor until I could get back in with Dr Matani…. She requires me to see a specialist and for this I needed one….. only to be told by their medical staff that I didn’t have the proper labs needed, I’ve had them done twice now in the last month!, that she was looking at them and the labs she needed weren’t there…. They absolutely were there and I pulled them up immediately on the quest app. I finally told her it would help to do less talking and more listening as I was getting more and more frustrated that she is gatekeeping my virtual visit I really needed to have on non factual information and I did in fact have all the labs done. At this point she said she would have her office manager get back to me effectively canceling the appointment I’d already paid for. I disconnected from the virtual visit as I obviously was not going to have my appointment I needed. An office manager is clearly not going to advise me on medication. I really needed this appointment and to be lied to and told she could see my labs and what was required for my appointment wasn’t there is a total lie. I then went in person because this is just a ridiculous way to deal with anyone having an ongoing issue amd really needing help and not getting it… only to be told by their medical office manager that maybe I needed to calm down and talk about this tomorrow, blame me in every way possible, tell me the medical assistant didn’t cancel my appointment…. What would you call it then if my appointment did in fact not happen due to her misinformation and lack of understanding the situation, not being totally truthful and deliberately avoiding the facts??!! Pretty sure that’s cancelling. Then I’m told by the office manager that Dr Matani is releasing me from care for other reasons that also weren’t factual and or were consistent with having to switch providers as I already stated…. Truly, don’t bother. Find someone that actually cares the first time you complain about an issue you need help with because they certainly won’t care later as evidenced by the ridiculous treatment today. It’s truly crazy work to pull this with patients and then expect total kindness, a butt kissing and payment. Staff only acts like this when the drs co sign the behavior.
Very caring and responsive Both in office and tele-visits. Very responsive to messages I've sent using patient portal. Both she and staff also responsive to prescription requests. Very pleased with my care from her and her team.
New patient and was immediately put at ease by Dr Matani. Grateful to have been referred to her:
Very efficient & I love Dr. Mantini!
Clean facility, professional and courteous staff.
I have been receiving care at the Diabetes and thyroid center for well over 10 years. I received help with medication choices, monitoring choices for my diabetes. I’ve also received nutritional planning to help me to maintain my blood sugar levels. The Diabetes and thyroid center also has a research department that not only will help you, but it will help others for their research studies. It’s been a complete blessing for my life that I was referred there over 10 years ago, the staff are well well educated from the front counter throughout the Diabetes and thyroid center. I am blessed to be part of this center. I. thank them for all of their help. when I see other patients arriving for appointments and others that are leaving after an appointment, I say to myself, we are all blessed.
Dr. Matani is very caring, knowledgeable, and professional. I've been seeing her for the past two years for hyper/hypothyroidism, and she has been able to stabilize my crisis. I would recommend her to anyone looking for an excellent endocrinologist.
On time, friendly and professional

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
