Extremely disappointed with my experience at MD Institute of Diabetes with Dr. Syed Hussain. I was a patient of Dr. Hussain for over a year, and during that time, he never created or discussed any kind of treatment plan to help manage my diabetes. Each appointment lasted about five minutes, he would ask if everything was okay, make no changes or recommendations, and then end the visit. Recently, I received a letter from him saying that he could no longer see me as a patient because I was “not disciplined” in managing my diabetes. This was shocking and unfair, especially considering that my A1C improved from 7.2 to 6.9, and all without any support or guidance from him. When I tried to discuss this during my last visit, he became defensive instead of listening or offering help. It is unacceptable for a specialist to dismiss a patient who is actually improving, simply because they don’t want to take the time to provide real care. In my opinion, this doctor is more focused on quick appointments and billing than on truly helping his patients. I would not recommend this office to anyone looking for genuine diabetes care, compassion, or professionalism.

Dr Hussain is a knowledgeable endocrinologist up on the latest in pump therapy. This has helped me with keeping my diabetes in control.
