List of Texas Center For Urology's Reviews
I just wasted almost 30 minutes simply trying to get *anyone* to answer the phone. If they can't even provide basic office services, I have no confidence that they can provide more important care. Also, looking at the recent reviews, it seems like something has changed. They had good reviews but recently it seems like its gone down the drain.
What a complete joke .. The Doctor wouldn't even come in and see me. The assistant played 3rd party carrier. They sure took my full payment If you want a doctor that won't come in the room and talk to you this is the place. I had some questions the assistant didn't know the answer to, "see ya in a month" he says.... I have a serious issue and the doc wouldn't even come in the room...
Dr. Young is exceptional, however if you call and deal with the staff you need to get a full name. Like most Dr. offices staffing is a real problem.
I’m grateful to Dr. Kelley for fitting my surgery in so quickly and for calling me the very next day to check on me. However, I’m disappointed with the lack of communication since then. I was instructed to call if I experienced any pain, but a week later I’ve left three voicemails at both the Burleson and Fort Worth offices over the past three days with no response. I hope this review prompts a return call because this HURTS!
No call backs. No response. No respect.
No sense of urgency. Office staff dropped the ball for the referral attempting to cancel the appt less than 24 hours before it was scheduled, canceled an appt after arriving and had no other trained staff on site and no plan for re hospitalization intervention as a result , appt lead time was 30-60 days out for multiple appts. Office staff will make or break a practice and it broke it with repeated negative experiences.
Dr. Waters is great but the office and staff were frustrating. Their lack of concern, canceling the appt after you arrive, taking months to get in, months between available appts has caused more harm than good. Don’t waste your time.
**Absolutely unacceptable standard of care – avoid this practice if you are looking for compassion, urgency, or competence in treating serious conditions like bladder cancer.** Our first (and only) experience with **Texas Center for Urology** was deeply distressing and negligent from start to finish. We traveled **over two hours** to be seen, only to have the **2.7 cm neoplasm and anterior wall thickening** identified on a CT scan **completely minimized**. The physician stated the findings were "likely insignificant" and dismissed our legitimate concerns. It was only after **insisting** that a cystoscopy be performed immediately—given the travel and obvious urgency—that it was **confirmed to be bladder cancer**. Despite this diagnosis, our concerns about the **significant pain** the patient was in were also brushed aside. **No urgency** was shown to address the patient's discomfort, and **no pain relief was offered** during the visit or after. We called the office requesting pain management, and **no one returned our call.** The next day, we followed up and were told their system was “having technical difficulties” and the **voicemail indicator “wasn’t working.”** They claimed clinical staff would call as soon as they were out of clinic—**but no one ever did.** Eventually, we were notified **by the pharmacy** (not the provider!) that a **very expensive medication** had been prescribed—one they didn’t even have in stock. By this point, it was after business hours and we were **left with no medication and no plan**. This patient is now **more than 60 hours** into a severe pain episode without **any intervention from the practice that diagnosed him with bladder cancer.** To make matters worse, **there is no email option** to escalate or discuss issues with the practice—**only a voicemail system that no one responds to.** While they did manage to schedule surgery rapidly, they have done **nothing else to support or care for the patient** in the meantime. **Neglecting to treat cancer-related pain for over 60 hours** after diagnosis is not just poor care—**it's cruel.** This experience has shown us that **Texas Center for Urology lacks empathy, responsiveness, and basic patient-centered care.** If your loved one has a serious diagnosis and needs support beyond checking boxes, look elsewhere. **Patients deserve better than this.**
Was referred to them through the VA. I shouldn’t be paying anything out of pocket with the VA. They said I would have to pay $160 for a vasectomy kit and apparently the VA doesn’t cover it. Seems like they were just trying to sell me something that is not necessary. I ended up getting referred somewhere else because it’s ridiculous that a veteran who has every medical appointment covered at no cost has to pay for anything.
Simply had blood work this time. In and out in 10. Great job

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
