List of Yamini Chennu's Reviews
Top notch physician. She is not only thorough but is equally compassionate. I initially saw her in the ER & consider myself extremely lucky to have had her. Highly recommend Dr Chennai.
About 10 years ago, when I was only about 34 years old, Dr. Chennu saved my life in an emergency room after a stroke. She has provided excellent follow up care since. She makes me feel important.
I too feel she is very condescending. I am an RN, which I feel has made it worse. She talks to me like I don’t know anything about my MS or seizures and always interrupts me so that I don’t feel I can ask her any questions.
Very limited office support. Paper prescriptions are given for lab tests or medicine but they are not called in to the provider. Assistants do not seem to be very skilled.
I saw Dr. Chennu from 2013 to 2018, at which time I moved too far away to continue seeing her. She always patiently answered my questions, of which I had plenty. We discussed different medications and she allowed me to make the final decision about which one to take. Her front office staff was always helpful and knowledgeable.
I was required to see a neurologist after sustaining a concussion from an automobile accident. The concussion was severe enough to prevent my immediate return to work. The experience that I had with Dr. Chennu was poor. I had much difficulty communicating with her as she would often interrupt with her own thoughts without letting me share what symptoms or concerns that I had. When attending follow up appointments, she would often say things that were completely contradictory to what she had stated before. She would get frustrated with me for still having lingering symptoms... as if this were something that I could control. Every appointment felt like a battle. I would not recommend seeing Dr. Chennu for neurological care.

Don't let your Dr. refer you here.
As a nervous patient trying to find answers, I brought my questions to Dr. Chennu and she answered them with confidence. My condition has been very difficult to diagnose among every single doctor I've visited, but her evaluation aligned with a Dr's opinion from Mayo Clinic. If you do your research and work with her (bring your questions!), you'll be glad to have visited her for her opinion. She is "to the point" as many patients have mentioned in other reviews, but that is exactly what we need. Don't be afraid of asking doctors anything that is bothering you.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
