List of Matthew Hammons M.D's Reviews
Worse doctor ever been to. Stuck on himself thinks he's better than everyone. Waste of time and money. He sent me back to my original physician after saying he couldn't do any more, when he did nothing. I had the same problem that I original went to see him for. Put through surgery and weeks of discomfort for nothing.
I am so pleased with the outcome of my surgery. From the start to finish Dr Hammons office was extremely professional and the entire surgical process was excellent! Thank you so very much! I highly recommend Dr Hammons.
Dr. Hammons treated my 79 year old mother’s stye that had been bothering her for 3 months. He gave the options and did the procedure there in the office. 10 minutes later the giant stye was removed. Nice as he could be. Very specialized opthamologist with plastic surgery residency to specialize in eyelids. Very nice, professional and he spent time with her. I couldn’t be more pleased.
Dr. Hammons is a wonderful doctor who listens and explains things so the lay person can understand. Very impressed with both him and his team. Highly recommend him.
Dr.Hammonds did a good job on my upper eyelids . He was informative & explained the pros & cons. When he removed my stitches, he really hurt me & not even an apology. He insinuated I was listening in on his personal conversation with the surgical nurse during my procedure. When I called back to make an appointment for the lower eyes on 3 different messages, they refused to return my call. weird huh?
My dad was scheduled through the VA to see Dr. Hammons and drove 350 miles to Ft Worth for the appointment. Dr Hammons met with my dad for the consultation and said he could perform the procedure needed. When my dad called to schedule, Dr Hammons and his staff didn't have the courtesy to even return one phone call. They told the VA they won't work with them. Idk why Dr Hammons couldn't have just been man enough to say that upfront before my dad drove all the way for the appt. Their office claims they didn't receive paperwork but I sent it myself and the VA confirmed they sent also. It's a shame money is the driving factor in Dr Hammons practice instead of helping our Veterans.
He’s wonderful. More than pleased with the results of the surgery he did to treat my droopy eyelids. There were NO problems after the surgery at all. I am just thrilled. Thank you Dr. Hammonds!!!!
Dr Hammons saved my eye. I am so thankful for his expertise and talent. He was patient in explaining the procedure and I felt completely comfortable with his ability to see it through. I highly recommend him and I hope that my words will help to alleviate someone’s anxiety before surgery. I know that God led me to him and I was in competent hands.
I was referred to Dr Hammond by another doctor. I set an appointment, pulled first visit forms from the web, arrived 15 minutes early. I was called 24hrs ahead of time to ensure I was still able to make the appointment. I asked about the forms, and was told they were in the packet I was sent. 1) Never received a packet. Then I was told I could use the forms on the website.Which is why I was able to fill them out. 2) After they took the forms, they came back and said those were old forms, and then proceeded to ask for the data I had already provided on the previous submitted forms. They also asked for a new version of the HIPPA to be filled out. I filled out the forms and waited,. Oh did I say waited. The first 10 minutes of my stay there was standing in the waiting room. There was no seating available. It was full. Oh did I say I was never greeted when I arrived? Even after I noticed at least 3 people do their best to never engage in eye to eye contact. As though I wasn't even there. Finally 2 people were called back and I was able to sit. I held on to the forms they said I needed. I over heard a conversation of 3 people who had already been there for 50-70 minutes waiting on their appointment. No one tried to explain why there was a delay, or attempted to apologize for the time delinquency. Oh well, I used my phone, cleared all my useless memory issues, ran many maintenance programs, checked all emails and messages I had missed. Also ease dropped on conversation, they had already waited more then an hour passed their appointment. Since I arrived early, I realized I probably had at least 30 minutes or more to wait. This was absolutely the worse medical professional experience I have had in my life. No bedside manner, no appearance of care for the patient in the waiting room, even after several had tried to get the attention of staff. If their administration of the office is as bad as my experience leads me to believe, I certainly don't want to experience their medical procedures. In my opinion, I have never had such rude incompetent service at any medical level. I ended up getting the attention of the person taking a patient who was an 1hour and 20 minute late on their appointment. I handed her my paper work, and explaining I couldn't wait any longer, that I had other things going on and that they would have to reset the appointment. 3) I had already been there over 70 minutes. I doubt I will ever hear from them, but I will contact the recommending doctor, and ask for a different referral.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
