Dr Khan took time to answer questions and explain anything I was curious about. He performed angioplasty and placed a stent in a coronary artery which was ninety nine percent blocked. I am convinced he saved me from experiencing a major event. He’s a talented and caring physician. Thank you Dr Khan!
Very happy with Dr Khan and his staff.
I had a medical emergency this weekend. I ended up in Peterson Hospital Kerrville. My heart was in A-Fib and my heart rate was 190 beats per minute and, I was in respiratory distress and couldn't breathe. I did not have insurance at the time I was admitted but had applied for insurance and it was to take effect in 3 to 4 days. The hospital was able to get my heart and breathing stabilized.Dr. Khan was the weekend Cardiologist on duty. He scheduled me for an angiogram on Saturday. I made the mistake of telling him that I had insurance that would take effect in about a week. He performed the angiogram as scheduled and found 80% blockage in one of my arteries. Instead of placing a stint in the artery and shock my heart back into a normal rhythm, he decided to wait until my insurance took effect so he could get paid a higher fee from my insurance to do the procedure. He also prescribed me over $800.00 worth of medication that I would not need if he would have done his job. This man does not care about the health of a patient. He cares about how much money he can put in his pocket. Three days later my heart is still in A-Fib and of course, I still have the blockage. I could wind up back in the hospital or dead because this man chose to line his pocket instead of doing what was right.I would not recommend Dr. Khan or South Texas Cardiovascular to anyone. Stay away from these people. They are out for money not your health.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
