Dr. Madhavi Ampajwala is just fantastic. I trust the care fully!
For annual health check up, usually doctors orders the blood work first. Once they received the blood report, they request us to schedule an appointment to discuss the blood results. Here Dr Madhavi Amapajwala requested us to first book an appointment before sending the blood work order to lab. Once she received the blood work, she asked us to schedule a televisit to go through the blood results. This is where the scam starts. They charge $129 for 7 min televisit and to prescribe vitamin supplements. This is not acceptable. Now I need to call their billing department and my insurance company to finally waste 3 hours in phone call with frustration and finally they will ask me to pay. 😭😭Other doctors do not charge to walk through the blood work report. I regret to have come here. Indians usually prefer Indian doctors. But I highly recommend to find other better options. This is the first time I ever give one star rating.. I feel sad but I want others to be cautious. Hope it will help someone
No She is a bad DR - 1) Service went from good to very poor 2) She had the NADS to talk to me and my wife in condensing manor all of the time 3) When I put her back in place she was very unhappy 4) She made at least 6 mis-diagnosis errors where we had to go to an urgent care to protect our best interests. 5) She refused to give me a prescription that I ordered her to do 6) She is a poor listener and does not make the proper time for her patients 7) When you make an appointment she always makes you wait 45 – 60 min later than what was scheduled 8) The office is impossible to reach and they make the patient stay on hold for 45 – 60 to talk to anyone 9) There are guilty billing errors and are un-responsive when you bring the issue to their attention 10) She as well as all of doctors have poor bedside manor and talk down to the patient 11) I reported her to her CEO over 2 weeks ago and no return call 12) We are still waiting for our credit ( The billing department will not pick up the phon
Stay away - See my complaint to ins co / AMA - When we moved to Texas 5 years ago we selected the above person in the subject line. She had decent reviews so we gave her a chance. Over time the following has happened: 1) Service went from good to very poor 2) She had the NADS to talk to me and my wife in condensing manor all of the time 3) When I put her back in place she was very unhappy 4) She made at least 6 mis-diagnosis errors where we had to go to an urgent care to protect our best interests. 5) She refused to give me a prescription that I ordered her to do 6) She is a poor listener and does not make the proper time for her patients 7) When you make an appointment she always makes you wait 45 – 60 min later than what was scheduled 8) The office is impossible to reach and they make the patient stay on hold for 45 – 60 to talk to anyone 9) There are guilty billing errors and are un-responsive when you bring the issue to their attention 10) She as well as all of doctors have poor bedside manor and talk down to the patient 11) I reported her to her CEO over 2 weeks ago and no return call 12) We are still waiting for our credit ( The billing department will not pick up the phone) 13) If she and Village health partners are STEALING from you – they are stealing from patients (if found guilty this get you prison time) – You may want to perform a on the spot audit of this medical facility.
Dr. A is the best doctor I've ever had. She listens and cares. I highly recommend her.
Dr Madhavi Ampajwala is very knowledgeable, understanding and caring. Few years back, when my family member had a medical condition, she was really caring and very supportive. She used to talk to other doctors and used to be always on top of the things. On regular visits, she doesn't recommend all sorts of tests for everything and recommends only what is needed. However, Village Health needs to get better at appointments, billing and the all other typical front office stuff.
When we moved from Connecticut to Plano in the yr 2009, we were looking for PCP near and we found Dr. Ampajwala. Been a patient of Dr. Ampajwala since then and didnt even think about changing our PCP even after moving to a different city.Dr.Ampajwala is very knowledgeable and very patient in discussing in detail about health related issues and motivates on how to overcome those issues. I have seen doctors who simply suggests medicines for any type of issue, whereas Dr.Ampajwala suggests only what is needed and how to overcome the issues with changes in lifestyle.
She is my primary care doctor. She is professional, attentive, personable, caring, knowledgeable and encouraging. I have had very positive experiences with her over the years and my overall health has improved under her care to control my blood pressure, reduce cholesterol, and increase my energy. She listens to my concerns and welcomes questions.
She dont even know what all additional checks can be done during annual exam.Upon ask only she did additional test.not to be considered as PCP as she as limited ability specially in urgent situations.Staff has sent multiple times incorrect bill (overcharged) which was later clarified by the insurance as they were so stubborn.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
