I’m disappointed with my most recent experience at The ENT & Allergy Center of Texas in Frisco, despite having had positive visits there in the past.<br><br>I contacted the office because I needed a refill on my son’s prescription. I was told that since it had been a while, I needed to come in for a follow-up appointment. What I was not told was that this visit would be billed as a comprehensive new patient visit. At no point was this explained to me beforehand, nor was I informed of the scope or cost of what I was agreeing to. I was later billed an unexpectedly large amount, which felt excessive given the purpose of the visit.<br><br>To make matters more frustrating, the medication I ultimately needed turned out to be available over the counter. While I do take responsibility for not researching this ahead of time, it’s worth noting that my son was originally prescribed this medication in an oral suspension when he was a toddler. Now that he is older and able to swallow pills, I was disappointed that no one explained my options or mentioned that an OTC alternative was available.<br><br>Overall, I feel that there was a lack of transparency regarding both the visit type and the available treatment options. Receiving a large bill in the mail for something that could have been handled with a quick trip to CVS was incredibly frustrating. Unfortunately, despite good experiences in the past, this situation has left me feeling misled, and I will not be returning to this practice.

Down to earth people throughout the office in Frisco! Doctor is very knowledgeable and made me comfortable.

Dr. Cable helped me through a very difficult, first time episode of extreme seasonal allergies. Very compassionate and responsive patient care. The entire office staff has been wonderful and my experience with immunotherapy drops has been fantastic, I highly recommend this office. 👍⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This office is great! I’m a patient of Dr Pahlavan’s, who by the way is an amazing ENT surgeon. I had surgery along with an in office procedure that was done by him recently and have recovered very well. He listens to his patients and makes them feel comfortable. Not only is he an excellent provider, but he is also an absolute pleasure to work with in the operating room. I’d recommend him and this location to everyone needing an ENT specialist! Shout out to the front desk staff and MA’s at this office too, everyone is great and very attentive!!

All staff from check-in to check-out are very professional and accommodating. Service was prompt and medical staff took time to carefully explain procedures. This office does not give you the "assembly line rush" that you may experience in other medical offices.

I saw Joshua James at the Frisco location. I went in for ear pressure concerns, causing dizziness and blurred vision. He told me I would need to see a neurologist for my vision issues then looked at me and said this is ENT and allergy, what can I help you with for those issues since you're already here. This made me feel so stupid as I am was seeking help and my primary doc sent me there. So I explained again that I have ear pressure and a history of retaining liquid in my ears. He did an ear exam and then a nasal exam.<br><br>I was scheduled for an allergy skin test but had to reschedule. When I called to reschedule the lady on the phone gave me an attitude for rescheduling "all 3 of my appointments" which I said I'm just aware that I'm getting an allergy test. So with the attitude on the phone and my experience in the office, I decided to go ahead and just cancel outright.<br><br>On that same day I went to go look in my portal and saw that I owe a few hundred dollars for my initial office visit. They charged me $540 on top of my office visit for a "nasal endoscopy". Apparently when he looked in my nose, that was a specialty procedure, not part of the initial EAR, NOSE & THROAT visit. I asked billing why wasn't I charged for my ears too since your office like adding a la carte services? I was told by billing that the nasal endoscopy was not included in the office visit and that by signing my intake paperwork, I agreed for treatment that day and that I will be responsible for any extra charges. If I was made aware of this extra charge I would've said no since my initial concern was just my ears. The doctor decided to look in my nose himself because he thought that was necessary. Make this make sense please. Are you not ENT? Why are you charging your patients extra for the N part? How does medical places get away with these things?<br><br>I DO NOT RECOMMEND this office. I will be looking for a new ENT specialist who is much more welcoming and transparent about their services.
