List of Gordon Keehn's Reviews
Dr Keehn removed 2 clogged ducts on my daughters eye. He saw her same day and did the procedure during the first visit. Explained every part of the procedure.
I used this doctor for four years. I was given prescriptions for glasses that I could not see to read with. I kept complaining and Dr Keehn was just very rude and disrespectful. He informed me he e had been practicing go for over 20 years. I was told it was the fault of the provider who I had chosen to make the glasses. I then went to the store attached to his office and got the same result. I have been using Dollar Tree readers and a magnifying glass to read after being charged $350.00 plus for eyeglasses. This year I was told my cataracts had not progressed enough to require surgery and I could tell the prescription he gave me was obviously weaker than last year’s even though I could tell my vision had worsened. I had the prescription verified that it was weaker than I had been given before. I called and asked if I could be retested and was told very indignitly that I would have to pay for another exam.I decided if I had to pay, I would get the second opinion from another doctor. After the second doctor gave me an exam he informed me that I did not need eyeglasses, I badly needed Cataract surgery and sent me to see a surgeon. The surgeon verified that I definitely needed surgery but wanted me to see a retina specialist first which I did. My Cataracts were so far advanced she could not even see my retinas. She made an appointment for me to return after surgery.I wonder how many more people have been given false diagnoses?
My husband and I have been patients of Dr Keehn for 20 plus years. He always is spot on with his diagnosis. I have numerous serious eye problems and he is always there whenever I call for a semi emergency need. My husband is having some serious eye issues now and he has been there for him as well. His office staff is AMAZING. I don't know all of their names but Meghan, Brenda, Sherri and Debbie are some that I have had contact with over the years and they are so kind and caring as is his WHOLE office staff.
Everyone is very friendly. Dr Keehn is very easy to talk to and communicates very well.
The visit went well. I realized I hadn't been to have my eyes checked in 6 years, so I scheduled an appointment. My grandmother and aunt both had macular degeneration and I wanted to make sure my eyes are healthy. Turns out, our insurance doesn't cover routine eyes exams. We let them know about the macular degeneration and they said the doctor's office didn't mention that on their coding. So, we called the doctor's office to ask them to correct this. They said since no sign of macular degeneration was found, it became a routine eyes exam. This is ridiculous. It's like getting a colonoscopy and finding nothing so they charge you for a routine colonoscopy. WTH? We will not be visiting this doctor again and of course they just don't care about that. Maybe they'll care about bad reviews?
The office visit was pleasant, but the aftermath of dealing with insurance has been a big pain. I scheduled this visit because macular degeneration runs in my family. Thankfully, no signs were found, so when they turned it in to insurance, they filed it as a routine office visit. My insurance won't cover that. The office refuses to change it so that insurance will cover it. They were quite rude about it as well.
I have been going there for years and have not really considered going elsewhere. Same with my wife!
Visit was fine, Doctor was good, better if we didn't have to wait 20 mins before being taken back. We had arrived early with our filled out paperwork. My biggest peeve about this group of Doctors is they charge you an additional 40.00 per eye glass prescription. I've worn glasses all my life and never paid for a eye glass prescription. We have vision insurance that covers the cost of all eye test other than refraction. So I was shocked they wanted over 100.00 when we went to leave. That was when we were told the eye glass prescription charge. The one for my husband was for reading glasses only. What a rip off! Never going to these Doctors again, and now I understand why when we arrived there was no one in their waiting room.
Love this place! The staff is Great! Dr. Keene is a great doctor, he knows his stuff. However, I've requested he wash his hands before placing his hands in my face.Although, very polite, knowleable, etc he seems to sometimes ignore my hand washing request. Makes me very uncomfortable.
Dr. Keehn and his staff were wonderful, took my son due to an orbital fracture, so kind, pleasant and reassuring. I would recommend to others.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
