List of John Haley's Reviews
Money taking machine. Not complaining about long wait time for few seconds consultation. During first visit they put a contact bandage on my right eye. Than ask me to visit one week, than again after two weeks and again one week. each time he just check the contact and spent 10 seconds with me. First visit I paid $168 and other 3 times $115 each time. Paid over $500. After taking the bandage off he said my problem is gone and he wants to see me after one month. But after couple days I found I still have the same issue. Did not want to go back because he will start another plan and will have pay again and again.Very unethical practice. They should not charge $115 for follow up visit.
I really couldn’t be bothered to give him any stars if that were an option. One star is too much of a positive review if I’m honest here. To keep this as brief as possible, Dr. Haley is consistently late, condescending in his bedside manner, absolutely rude on all accounts, and refuses to hear his patients and their concerns. My father has always had good vision and takes good care of himself well into his 80’s, and I’ve been helping him with doc appointments and translating between English and Vietnamese for a long time. He had issues with some blurry vision in his left eye, went to see Dr. Haley, they decided he needed to get cataract surgery done in his right eye instead - although my dad never complained about his right eye and had no issues with it before the surgery. Now, five weeks later post surgery, we go in for a check up and the doctor is an hour and a half late, completely dismissive about my dad’s complaints of feeling swollen in his eye still and having dark floaters which wasn’t ever an issue before, and cannot see as well as he use to before the surgery since he was dependent on his right eye. He now has blurry vision in both eyes with different issues. Dr. Haley says there is nothing wrong with his left eye and refuses to do anything about it, and the right eye is normal and he just needs some glasses and eye drops to keep it lubricated. I had to record our conversation because I needed to keep some proof of how bad his appointment went.

Dr. Haley has been my eye doctor for many, many years. I always told people that he was a very good doctor. In the past six months we have noticed quite a change in his demeanor. He used to be very helpful, patient and kind before he decided to have so many patients scheduled for appointments every 15 minutes. Now you wait and wait and he finally comes in the exam room in a rush and things are no longer getting explained. He might still be a good doctor but in the past six months or so he has transformed into that very rude, condescending and judgemental person a previous person wrote about.
I have been going to this eye Dr for about 20 years. I have Sjogren's Syndrome which one symptom is dry eye. I had also been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, which is in remission. I am an 88 yr old woman. I am so fortunate that my primary Dr recommended Dr Haley. He is understanding, knowledgeable, caring and kind.
A terrible place to take the elderly. As a patient you'll have no choice but to allow them to dialate pupils...they will not see you as a new patient if you don't. I saw lots of elderly wearing dark glasses and they did not seem happy to be there. It was actually sad, so sad that after 30 minutes of wait time I left with my almost 80 year old mother to go to another ophthalmologist.
Dr Haley is awesome!
I saw Dr. John Haley and he was knowledgeable and professional. The staff is great and very personable; I would highly recommend.
Dr. Haley is rude, condescending and judgmental. His bedside manner is lacking. Not sure how he is as far as his work; but his personality/bedside manner is horrible. I couldn’t believe the way he spoke to his patient. Even if I was told he was the best at what he did; I would search further to find a doctor to treat my family.
Dr. Haley is very rude, condescending and judgmental. I’m not sure how he is as far as his opthamalogy work; because after the consult I would not use him for his services at all. Definitely lacking in his bedside manner.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
