My last 3 boys I had Dr Mahaffey no problems at all I understood everything that was going on and if I didn’t he didn’t mind to explain or break it down for me to understand. He’s definitely my forever OBGYN I trust no other!!

Hands down, BEST doctor EVER!! Living in Round Rock I have tried other doctors to try to be closer to home. NOT one compares to Dr Mahaffey. Thankfully Georgetown isn’t far from me. Even if it was, I’d drive any where for this amazing doctor. He delivered my youngest daughter in 2018 at St David’s Georgetown. Never ever had an issue! Now has accepted me again as a patient to deliver my twins. 32 weeks into my pregnancy and accepted me regardless of how far in I am or how high risk I am. Very very very amazing doctor. Lesson learned, I will NEVER look for another OBGYN again. Anybody looking for an amazing doctor, I HIGHLY recommend Dr Mahaffey!!

I went to Dr. Mahaffey for his reviews, but was shocked by the terrible care I received. Procedures WITHOUT consent, just being told that “you had to.” Breast exam, again without consent. Told me my alternatives to drinking the glucose drink would be 12 RR donuts. Said “they’ve kind of got the hospital like a prison.” Nurse pushed receiving the DTAP & when I asked for more information he said “is it perfect? no.” He’s a “one size fits all” kind of Dr & never offers options or alternatives. I called to access my medical records & nurse said they had no records under my name, and was very insulting about my decision to switch my care to a midwife.

Pushes unnecessary surgery, won’t let you do natural birth after c-section even though ACOG recommends it for most women. Schedules c-section without consent and tells you what he’s going to do to you, doesn’t ask for consent or explain anything unless you specifically ask. Nice enough guy I guess, but not here to educate you about your health or conditions and apparently doesn’t know what informed consent is. Good to see if you want a c-section and understand the risks vs benefits already, but not natural birth friendly at all. Also impossible to get in touch with the nurse to reschedule or cancel anything - always goes to voicemail.

No nonsense, straightforward, incredibly knowledgeable, caring, and fun. I feel like I am in excellent hands and trust him implicitly. Thank you Dr. Mahaffey! We could not have done this without you!!

The staff is wonderful, nice and friendly. Dr. Mahaffey is The absolute BEST!!!! He was my provider for my 3rd child. It was not an easy pregnancy, as none of them have been. He is calm, knowledgeable, quick and patient. With MANY years of experience, my c section was prefect. I didn't even need to take any pain medication after. I have only positive things to say about him and his office.

I am not the patient he sees, but my brother's wife sees him. With the 2 times she has seen him, he not only addressed her concerns about her health problem, but also let me ask questions too. He also was honest that treatment is about "quality of life" for her at this point. He even encouraged she take her time and think over her options as she may never have kids with one option. But he makes me want to see him for my hysterectomy now.
