Excellent service

The worst experience I Have ever had with a clinic. I am 80 with extensive experience with doctors for 25 years, bypass surgery, prostate cancer, stomach surgery, carotiod artery surgery, blindness in one eye. All were good to excellent, this clinic is the exception, it was difficult to get a diagnosis on my nails and getting the prescription was a disaster, 3 weeks, finally called in my prescription to heb, went to pick up and only one had been sent. Went home and called clinic, double talk etc, been going on for 3 weeks etc with their pharamacy. They then sent the the other prescription to heb and now I have to go back a second time to pick it up, and of course they try to blame it all on me due to their incompetence. I will switch doctors

Recently saw Andrea Medina at Westlake Georgetown for my first Fraxel - Andrea is wonderful - patiently answered all my questions and carefully explained the process - I am so happy with the results - my skin looks great! Look forward to seeing Andrea again.

I have a dermatologist that I really like and have gone to for years in Austin, but wanted to look for a doctor closer to where I live, so I decided to check this place out. I booked a "New Patient Full Body Skin Check" appointment online for July, but was happy to receive an alert saying that Dr. Covington could see me sooner this week. So I hopped on it and completed the online registration. Registration was straight forward and I appreciated the clear and frequent communication leading up to the appointment. On the day of, check-in was straightforward, the front staff was kind and professional, and the waiting area was new and shiny; all was looking up until my appointment. I met the Dr. who was nice, but I realized early on that this would be a touch and go appointment. I immediately sensed I was being hurried. My "new patient" experience felt very impersonal. I talked about my skin concerns, but the doctor didn't seem curious about any of them and asked little to no follow up questions-- only giving quick answers that left me with more questions. After I talked about my concerns, that was it. I'm not sure what the "Full Body Skin Check" was supposed to entail, but there was no additional "checking" of any kind, and I was so over the whirlwind appointment after a mere 10-15 mins that I didn't care to ask. I left with an Rx and follow up appointment that I'll be canceling now that the dust has settled. I'm glad I checked this place out for myself, but it's back to Austin I go.

The whole team took care to make sure I understood and was comfortable with what needed to be done during the procedure I was having. I felt like they were all taking good care of me. I can say for certain that I would recommend Doctor Mamelak and his team to my family and friends.

I had a great visit with Dr. Mamelak. He was very caring, attentive and knowledgeable. Would recommend to everyone to have him as your provider!

Westlake Dermatology is an excellent place to go to for all your skin issues. The staff and doctors are very caring and experienced in giving you the best care for your needs. I felt seen and heard. I’m confident I got the best care.

I tried to call the Round Rock office to change my appointment using the number 512-5833376 and 512-3283376. Had to call several times because the recorded message kept repeating even though I clicked on the number I was supposed to be directed to. It's so frustrating! After 5 or 6 times, the recorded ended my calls. It did that so many times! I spent about 30 minutes this time trying to reach the office. Please do something about this because you are losing potential and existing customers and patients when we have such difficulties reaching you. And this is not the first time I had this experience. I had this problem previously but this time I have to write as I am considering switching to another dermatologist. What a shame when I do have good experiences with my dermatologist in the office visits.

Dr. Jean Charles is an excellent doctor who is very through and explains things so very well. Dr. Jean Charles listened to my concerns and she explain a plan of treatment to me. I would highly recommend Dr. Jean Charles.
