List of Philip Scott Hunter's Reviews
Dr. Hunter has been my primary care physician since he replaced the doctor at Wellness Pointe in Gilmer. I have always felt like he doesn’t listen to me or my concerns. I get the feeling that he makes false assumptions without actually looking into my medical records. I often feel like I am being talked down to. Sadly, my opinion after seeing him for over a year is that he is more concerned with being able to bill me for another visit than he is with my health. When my test results point to needing additional test to verify a diagnosis I was forced to wait to make an office visit before he would order the required test. When I needed to refill my blood pressure medication, but was stuck out of town because my husband needed to have surgery while on vacation, he denied a prescription refill without an office visit first even though I had just seen him recently. I am currently seeing a new primary care physician because I fear he has put my health in jeopardy by waiting so long to treat my infection with antibiotics just so he can bill me for additional visits.
He gets me in takes good care of me answers all my questions and gets me out. Very professional and friendly.
He listens to me and asks questions. I respect his opinions.
First time there...was a great experience, his nurse, Ms Brenda listened to my concerns, took notes...Dr. Hunter the same, I was not rushed and all my questions and concerns were taken care of.
Very poor beside manner. Doesn't want to take time to listen to patients.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
