Kind, caring, and informative outpatient radiology department staff; and the radiologist was very skilled. I felt very comfortable going through my procedure.
Please continue to hold your ground against the slanderous accusations by Dr. Bowden. It is painfully obvious with a little research that she has a political agenda. We don't need docs like her.
Attending Provider: LaRussa, Jacquelyn Anne I'm not the only one who has had a bad experience with this doctor. She is rude and very unprofessional. I was sent to the ER by my physician with chest pain and shortness of breath. My original X-ray showed an enlarged heart with possible mild congestive heart failure, and my white blood cell count was high. I was diagnosed with Covid two weeks ago; my body is fighting an infection. There are several cases of Covid causing severe lung and heart complications. She only did a blood workup. No EKG, No X-ray, No additional testing! She didn't even refer me to a cardiologist like she said she would. She didn't ask what medicines I was taking. She had me sit there for 3 hours and refused to do anything else for me; if you are having heart issues or dealing with Covid, steer clear of Baylor in Grapevine.

The staff at the hospital is very conscientious, at least individually, but they fail to communicate and coordinate with one another. Add to that the hospital policy of denying patients’ rights to see their children makes this a place I cannot recommend.
The quality of care all around was great (with the exception of one physician). My husband spent 3 nights there and all the nurses were friendly and attentive, the physicians knew what they were doing, were empathetic and the rest of the staff was friendly. Baylor Grapevine will be our choice for any future hospital stays.
I have been a patient at this hospital 3 times in the last 2 years. The hospital staff is outstanding In every way. Very sensitive to patient needs. They are also very kind to your family. Can't imagine a better experience.
My mom was a patient here about 2-3 weeks ago in room 3315. Day of her discharge, the occupational and physical therapists made a remark that my mom had gone to the bathroom on her bed liner. The left my mom exposed with door wide open, telling her the tech would be by to clean up. They did not finish up their session with her. Also, was told by the nursing staff that same day that they DO NOT provide adult diapers ( mom was being transferred home by Careflight and I wanted to make sure she was modest), and the Mickey Moused one that didn’t even cover her properly. No one read her chart, when the rest of the family would visit and we’d mentioned the importance of her care, no one took it seriously or they would rush through things. Very chaotic and disorganized with the discharge paperwork and were quick to rush her out of the room. Came back later on the afternoon, to the ER, due to a head injury 🤕 mom sustained on the way home. No ER nurse was helpful, one nurse that we asked to help change my mom left us with supplies expecting us to change our mom by ourselves. Escalated poor patient care issues to a Miss Loretta Saunders who had promised to get us in touch with the president of this hospital. No such follow up or contact was made. Would not recommend this particular Baylor Hospital at all.

The ladies imaging center was extremely professional but also warm, courteous, concerned for my comfort & understanding of each step of process performed for my breast biopsies. I was treated with the utmost respect & kindness.
I recently had a stereotactic biopsy at the Breast Center. The Patient Navigator Sharon was extremely caring and explained everything carefully and patiently. She made sure I was prepared. She was with me every step of the way. When I went into the room for the biopsy, Dr. Woomer was also kind and friendly and answered my questions. While the extremely tight squeezing did hurt, all other aspects of the procedure were not bad. Sharon talked to me and lightly rubbed the top of my hand with her thumb to comfort me. She and Dr. Woomer told me everything that was happening step by step. Dr. Woomer did an excellent job with the biopsy and that part was virtually painless. He also talked to me and comforted me throughout. I don’t know his technician’s name, but she was great, too. Once it was over, he took the time to show me the suspicious calcifications on my original mammogram because I had not seen them yet. (Touchstone in Arlington never showed them to me.) He answered my questions and showed me the post-procedure images. They all told me to let them know if I had any issues or questions moving forward. Their caring attitudes made a huge difference for me, as admittedly, I was nervous about the possibility of having breast cancer. Susan called a couple of days later to check on me. I highly recommended the Grapevine Breast Center!

This was my first experience with Baylor Scott & White. Everyone from reception to recovery was courteous, competent, and caring. I highly recommend them, and only hope that if some circumstance causes me to have to once again go to the hospital, that it is one of your facilities. I also appreciate the fact that the care I received was in no way hampered by the current Covid pandemic. Everyone seemed to take it in stride and I never once felt that my health was at further risk.Thank you!
A very unorganized and non-proactive group. They wanted to force me to come into their low ceiling, cramped building during the peak of a pandemic just to get a refill of my antacid meds. My household has a lot of co-morbidities that COVID attacks. It was certainly not worth the risk to me, and they wouldn't even give me an extra 30 days while I seek a new doctor. They said they don't see sick people during this time. Apparently they are ignorant of the fact of asymptomatic spread. Any medical professional who is that stupid is probably not one you should visit. I will not have my antiacids over Thanksgiving. They may leave you hanging also.
I have used BSW for treatment of strokes & other blood clot issues. They have been nothing short of AMAZING! When I entered the ER w/ stroke symptoms, they had me in the CT machine within 7 minutes of arrival. I had one abnormal negative experience with a nurse while admitted & reached out to hospital administration to let them know. I got a prompt response, many apologies, and was even given the personal cell of one of the administrators to call/ text whenever I would be returning. This meant so much to me! For someone with chronic blood clotting issues, I choose carefully where I seek treatment. And I will go nowhere else but BSW Grapevine! I highly recommend & thank each of the doctors & nurses for your excellent care!
Well we’re should I start? I was involved in an MVC. Rear ended at 50-60mph. From time of check in to time to a bed 1 hour. Turns out I have a broken back. Was told I was going to be admitted for pain control. So made arrangements for that. Then told I was going home. I have been taking Percocet for 11 years due to a previous back injury. So they prescribe Norco, not 10mg but 7.5mg....not really sure what they think that was supposed to do for me. Never called my pain management doctor. He would have told them what I needed due to my Red head gene syndrome. Yeah it’s real, Google jt. So I guess then they decided I was just a “drug seeker” with a new acute transverse vertebrae fracture. Nicole my nurse got all pissy ans stormed out of my room when I asked to look at my fracture and never came back to my room. So I pulled out my own IV and signed her discharge paperwork. Can’t say I will ever go to or recommend a Baylor facility. John C Jones BSN, RN, LP, CFRN
I wouldn’t recommend bringing anyone you love to this hospital. Will edit with more info later.
NO communication with patient or doctor that’s supposedly in charge of case. Takes at least an hour to get pain med for kidney stones while awaiting “decisions”. And what level 2 trauma center doesn’t have a rapid saliva Covid test!? WTF?
My nursing staff for my in room care was great and my Physical therapist was great so i can’t fault them for the negatives. However i had money stolen from my wallet while i was there. A lack of callbacks and concern from patient relations is both concerning and sad. Whomever the culprit, you live a sad life.
My Dad is in hospice and not expected to live much longer, the last 3 days they have allowed 2 family members at a time to see him. Today that has all of a sudden changed and only one family member can go at a time and they are saying that is how it has always been. Which would be fine except when my mom who is already distraught has to go by herself and I can't go to be there for her, this place sucks do not send your loved ones here, I wish I hadn't
