I was scheduled for our labor induction last week with our 2nd child. My first was delivered in NJ while on active duty so I only have one other labor & delivery experience to compare to. With that being said, hands down I would deliver here again!Pros:-Spacious, modern delivery room-Staff explained each step and answered all my questions-Everyone I encountered was courteous and seemed to truly enjoy their jobs-Very experienced. Near the end my contractions were putting too much pressure on the umbilical cord which was pretty scary for me and my husband. The nurses and doctor were on top of it, though, and put me on oxygen. It helped a little, but they eventually had to reintroduce fluid back into me after breaking my water earlier to alleviate the pressure, which worked and allowed us to avoid a C-section.-Dr. Chen handled my prenatal visits and was able to be there to deliver our son, so having that consistency was great. The fact that nurses doing this stuff every day expressed how much they liked working with her just reiterated all the positive experiences I had too- my delivery and recovery would have been much more difficult had I not followed her recommendations!-Could order room service food once every 2 hours, and it was good! ^_^-A handwritten note in the mail from the staff after going home from the hospital was an unexpected personal touch, they were all very sweet!Cons:-Induction labor process took 19 hours before finally delivering. Not anyone's fault, just nature of the process. Still was tough bc my apt was for 7PM, so I was awake that day despite trying to sleep, then up all night til late the next afternoon in labor. I couldn't sleep through the labor, so I was wake 32 hours before our newborn ever got here- needless to say I was pretty tired!! If anything, I wish the apt was in the morning so I could've had a full nights rest right before starting everything.
My husband had triple bypass surgery at Baylor Grapevine- I want to tell you this is the most caring hospital I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with, not only do they care for their patients, they care for the care givers as well. They were concerned at pre-op if we were treated well and if the Administration was nice to us. Today, I was told it was raining outside and be careful driving in...I am truly amazed at the extent they go to make you comfortable and know that they really do care! Thank you Baylor for outstanding in your field!
Shortness of breath, what I thought was my asthma acting up. Found blood clots in my lungs~! Thank God I want in. There was not one person, tech, PA, or Doctor I didn't like. Service wonderful. Spent a day in ICU...then 2 nights in regular room. EVERY SINGLE PERSON was great and up beat. It was serious, but having these people take care of me was sure a blessing to get me on the road to good health again. THANK YOU ALL!
Had a great experience at this place. The delivery and maternity unit was great. The staff and dr were very friendly, caring, passionate about their work. The surgical and recovery rooms were every clean and hygienic.
Total shoulder replacement last Wednesday was the BEST hospital experience in my 65 years. From the volunteers who welcomed us and looked after my family during surgery, to the cheerful and refreshing food service teams, we were pleasantly overwhelmed with the level of care. I stayed on the third floor in Tower 1, and want to make a special acknowledgment to Ron who was my evening nurse. He was patient with an old man and never made me feel rushed or hurried. We certainly can recommend this facility.JR Steen
I was brought in by ambulance on Saturday night from Lewisville at my request. Dr. Reagann McCreary and all of the nurses were great. They were responsive and helpful to all of my needs, especially Nurse Lauren who got my iV started on the first poke and Nurse Kalli who put up with my unique sense of humor. Thank you for all of your help. You did a great job!
I have been a patient at this hospital 3 times in the last 2 years. The hospital staff is outstanding In every way. Very sensitive to patient needs. They are also very kind to your family. Can't imagine a better experience.
This was my first experience with Baylor Scott & White. Everyone from reception to recovery was courteous, competent, and caring. I highly recommend them, and only hope that if some circumstance causes me to have to once again go to the hospital, that it is one of your facilities. I also appreciate the fact that the care I received was in no way hampered by the current Covid pandemic. Everyone seemed to take it in stride and I never once felt that my health was at further risk.Thank you!
I cannot say enough good things about this hospital. An unexpected stay resulted after having an allergic reaction to a medication that caused my vocal cords to swell and block my airway. Catherine, Charisa, Stephanie, Dayton and Dr. Patel were just a few of the exceptional caretakers I encountered. Oh - and the food was actually pretty good as well! If I ever have to go to the hospital again, this will certainly be my first choice!
i used to go to this hospital before it had a name changed i liked it then and even now.

All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process.
