David Liao's Online Review Report Card

I went to the ER because i was in a lot of pain in my shoulder. They recommended this doctor. Checked my insurance ( yes, he was in my network). I made an appointment two weeks ahead. Gave them all my information. They wait until 2 hours before my appointment to tell me to bring money ($500.00) because they don't file insurance for certain procedures. I was just coming in to talk to the doctor. Hope you can stay in business doing things like that.

Dr. Liao recently performed my 2nd carpal tunnel release surgery. Both went very well. Dr. Liao is very skilled, friendly and has a wonderful and caring bedside manner. Always a pleasure when I have appointments with him as he takes the time to answer all of my questions. Great doctor!

Hands down fabulous surgeon! Great staff that is super friendly. My 2nd surgery is scheduled next week with Dr Liao, and I feel 100% confident I’m in good, caring hands. He’s so friendly, and he truly cares about one’s well-being. Highly recommend!!

Very kind staff. Doctor is friendly, knowledgeable, and up front with you. The only complaint is it's hard to get someone to answer the phone. Always get voice mail. Other than that, great experience.

His office made numerous mistakes that ended up costing me money.

I went to see the orthopedic doctor, Dr. Liao. The experience was one of the worst I have ever had in a doctor's office. First of all they did not set up the appointment for my two issues, they only documented one and then we're very happy to tell me that they can set up another appointment for the other one, which of course would cost me more money. Then they asked me to fill out paperwork, and when I brought it to them they shredded it and said they had a new system and I had to redo it all over digitally. I understood this and that would've been fine except the new system did not allow me to put to put more than one issue and then I had no evidence that I had requested to have two joints looked at. I guess it's my job to ask them for a certified letter stating that they listened to me and knew what my appointment was for. I had to ask off work early and then I sat there a long time when I really didn't need to be there. I am a teacher and this took time away from my students. At this point I still thought I was being seen for both my issues. After sitting a long time, some office person comes back and says, "What are you here for?" and when I tell her she says that that is not what the paperwork says and she could just schedule another appointment. Then after the doctor finally does come see me, he over manipulates my knee starting more pain than I have had in a long time. I already knew I had a miniscus tear, but I believe he could have made it worse. I tried to convince myself he knew what he was doing. Then today I get notes on my appointment and he had stuff on there that we had not even discussed. I sent a message to their office and they asked me to send them a copy because their new system might not be working right. The whole office is not working right and I hope that any person looking for an orthopedic doctor looks elsewhere and spares himself this experience. I am out $190 and certainly will not go to this office again, My only hope is that the $190 I wasted can help others to choose a better doctors office. I had tried to go to Hunt even though I had heard bad things. I have tried to spend my money locally, but this is the third bad doctor I've had affiliated with Hunt Regional . The office staff was very kind in telling me that there was nothing they could do and that I had no proof I had scheduled the appointment for two joints. I spent an hour on the phone hearing apologies, but there was nothing they could do to make it right. And then they had the audacity to ask me if I can send a copy of the office notes that were incorrect so I could help them do better in the future. I got off work, I did paperwork that they shredded and no longer needed, I received inaccurate notes and they didn't seem to have a problem with it but would be very happy to charge me another $190 if I would come back in. Not in this lifetime. I highly suggest you go somewhere else. Consumers/patients deserve better with what we pay for medical costs. They don't have to answer to anyone.

They took great care of me

The front office staff was nice when I checked in for the first time. They dis not process my secondary insurance and I had to pay a high deductible.When I called to ask if they have processed it they were very rude and not helpful at all. I called to ask a question to the nurse since I had alot of pain and being my first time seeing a specialist for this, I really didn’t know how to go about it. They were just rude and not helpful. When I saw Dr. Liao it was a very fast visit, didn’t really bother to explain what my xray were showing until I asked. Very disappointed with the service.

Dr.Liao, is very amazing,I love his bedside manor. He is very compassionate and doesn't rush through your visit. He cares very much about his patients. He explains procedures where u can understand them and answer any question that u have. Thank you Dr.Liao I just love having you as my doctor its like a family reunion when I see you. Prayers🙏
