NP Jennifer and Dr Z are amazing!! I went in after years of avoiding going to the OB due to being traumatized from a different OB in the area. Jennifer was so sweet and eased my nerves. I came in yesterday to get my birth control removed that had expired, I was so nervous but everything was quick fast and so gentle. Couldn’t ask for better care!! This office is HORRIBLE!!! My sister in law was having and emergency and they were very short and rude with her, this office neglected her in her time of need which ended in a horrible situation my sister in law could've easily been helped but this so called Dr. doesn't believe in the medication that could've helped her!!! O and Alma in the front office is the worst employee there very hateful and inconsiderate!!! This office is HORRIBLE!!! NP Jennifer Carter was the best thing about this office the last few years and the only reason they get two stars. Dr. Zapata delivered my son almost 8 years ago and was amazing then, less so the last few times I’ve actually got to see her. I’ve slowly lost hope in this office. Her staff is beyond horrible, in office and over the phone, don’t expect any help. Even when you are telling them you have a subchorionic hemorrhage and need in. They’ll brush you off and tell you; you’ll get a call when the NP can. You won’t. So if you’re worried and want someone who cares, switch. Heartless! I have had a terrible run around from the medical community. These people were telling me I had to go back to the doctor who did c-section for follow up care. I told her I couldn't because it is in Dallas and insurance would not pay for follow up care unless they had performed the surgery. I told them I would just pay out of pocket. They put me on hold only come back and tell me they are not seeing new patients. They can't bill my insurance and are refusing to see me... what a greedy doctor. So disappointed! Heartless! The Dr. Is nice the staff is horrible. They do drug testing which I have never had to do for any of my pregnancy. I’m trying to figure out if it’s a black thing or do they just have a over flow of crack heads. It’s just getto low class. The staff act like high school girls. This is not a welcoming place to have your baby. The whole staff gives me a feeling that if something goes wrong while having a baby they will say your overreacting. I am very disappointed with this office. I made my appointment 3 weeks ahead of time, I filled out my paperwork THE DAY that I made my appointment and I arrived 15 minutes early to my appointment. When my husband and I walked in I immediately greeted the woman at the front desk before I could finish saying “goodmorning etc.” she says “Where’s your mask?” I say “oh my goodness I forgot it I’m so sorry do you happen to have one?” To which she responds “I have one for you BUT NOT HIM” (she points at my husband) I look at my husband and I’m in shock at the rudeness but I tell him “do you mind checking in the car? I might have one lying around somewhere” he immediately says yes and runs out, as soon as he does I turn back to her and she again, rudely goes “I need your id and insurance card” I say “I have my id” I hand it to her and then I say “I’m sorry I don’t have my insurance card with me but I have my social” (i work in healthcare so I KNOW for a FACT that with the type of insurance I have you can search up and verify the insurance with only my social) I was very polite this entire time. She replies rudely “I NEED YOUR INSURANCE CARD OR YOU WILL PAY $400 for your appointment!” At this point I’m about to cry because my pregnancy hormones are through the roof and she’s being so mean. Finally I just extend my hand for my id she hands it to me and I walk out. I am very disappointed as I’ve heard great things about the dr and now I am in a position of trying to rush to find a new OBGYN because one rude woman is obviously unhappy with her job and herself. Absolutely loved Dr Zapata and staff. Jennifer is very caring and knowledgeable, front desk staff goes out of their way to work with your schedule and greet you by name as soon as you walk in. I was late numerous times and they never turned me away. Dr zapata is the friendliest peppiest person with such a great attitude each time you see her. My labor experience was a little hard but they took care of me like no other and treated me and my child like their only patient and number one priority. Dr Zapata and Ms Carter really saved me and my pregnancy and they both were god send to me over a year ago I had my daughter and I cannot ask for anything more than their care. I have met and seen many drs but like them none so far. Truly appreciate them. I lived in a different city and decided to change and close to them because good drs like them during very difficult times is worth it all!
