Worst Doctor Ever!!! Dr. Asase saw my fiancé in the hospital when he was admitted while having severe kidney pain. We moved here & didn’t have a urologist in Harlingen. He told Dr. Asase that he had one in McAllen but due to my poor health he needed one here because an emergency drive to McAllen was unfeasible. Dr. Said “Is McAllen in another Country!!!” I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. But my fiancé needed a Urologist here so we asked if he could be seen by Dr Asase in his office as a patient. Dr. Asase said forcefully I don’t accept people with bad insurance or who don’t pay me! I need to be paid!! I have never seen a doctor talk about $ to a patient hurting in the hospital. We were shocked. What made him think we wouldn’t pay him! That comment was completely racist. ( ethnically, economically or both) Then he tells my fiancé you have many stones in both kidneys and will need many surgeries or you will require dialysis! I will order tests and he left. Leaving my fiancé with coldly with that bad news & no urologist here. He never came back to give us the results of the tests. He does not care about helping people medically. He gives good doctors a very bad name. He only cares about $ going into his pocket. Worst doctor ever!!!!

Worst Doctor I have ever dealt with. Disrespectful and very rude!!! Will go back to my old doctor even if i have to drive far to get to him. Asase makes you feel like you are nothing.

Worst doctor ever. Very direspectful and rude. Karma will get this guy at some point.

My husband, after 2 months in hospital and rehab had an appt with Dr. ASase on Jan 7th that was cancelled and since that time they have cancelled the next 4 appts the last being May 27th, then tried to reschedule for July 28th. The reasons were varied and questionable. Don't know what is going on, but it is not very professional . And also very careless..

Dr Asase is disrespectful of his patients time. I had an 08:00 appointment. Waiting room packed. Was called to the check in desk at 08:40 only to find they had me scheduled for another day. Realized all of us had 08:00 appointments and were to wait submissively until Dr Asase appears. So I told the lady to cancel me and I would not be returning. I’m already miffed at the situation and low and behold, as I am leaving the building, there is Dr Asase standing on the sidewalk talking with another person. 08:00 appointment, Dr still not in the office at 08:50.

Terrible staff. Not sure about the doctor other than the first time I met him at vbmc. Knowing I was in pain he grabbed my wound to "gauge my pain" after it was obvious I couldn't even walk. He performed my surgery and never spoke to me afterwards while I remained at vbmc for nearly 2 weeks. His staff said I missed my initial appointment which was a lie and scheduled me out a month later. His staff does not seem to care at all and they do not take responsibility for anything. I wish I could of said different about the Doctor.

Finally figured this out. He has a lot of patients but he’s listening to them intently which takes a little longer than most and requires more time. Doctor is a bit aggressive with how he speaks to you about care which could be better handled but I saw how he cares and took action after he listened. That being said his team needs to help him manage the schedule better. If you have a parent in a wheelchair or not feeling well and they need to wait 2 hours to see him then the reviews won’t go well. Also better attitude from staff. Grumpy and disrespectful won’t get your boss good reviews plus these are people’s parents or family your talking to.

Quise una segunda opinión porque a la oficina del doctor que fui referida es realmente patética pero esta le gano..!! Llame para hacer mi cita y al escuchar la recepcionista que no tenía aseguranza me rechazo..!! Que porque sale muy caro, que le importa ella porque asegura o se imagina que no tengo dinero para pagar.!!! Súper grosera y leyendo las reseñas que bueno que no fui a gastar mi dinero ahí, ya que por lo que he leido es pésimo doctor..!. Talparwce que son los únicos urólogos en Brownsville y Harlingen

Doctors appointments take time, go prepared to wait plan accordingly and stop complaining. I take books headphones and a fully charged phone. If you think your time is more important than your health don’t go see physicians.

The worst physician Ive ever seen. Very rude and uncaring. Do not waste your time and allow him to be paid by your insurance.
