I hate this medical office. Dr. Garcia is a good doctor but he is hardly ever in his practice. His PA or nurse practitioner is who will see you most of the time. He is not knowledgeable enough to do his job. One day my 10 year-old son was referred to pediatric ophthalmologist in Corpus by him due to constant headaches. I insisted that maybe he had to see an optometrist first but he insisted and as the office staff was trying to schedule the appointment at the ophthalmologist’s they informed him that he had to be referred to an optometrist first. He asked my 10 year-old if he wanted to stay home from school the rest of the day and the following day to relax. Are you kidding me....who wouldn’t want to stay home and not go to school?? The optometrist diagnosed him with lazy eye and prescribed him glasses. Another time my oldest son needed to see the Dr. but like usual he wasn’t there and neither was his PA or nurse practitioner. When I asked who was covering for his patients I was informed that no one was. This situation caused a lot of distress to my son and myself as I had to go to the day and night clinic and paid cash for visits and lab work. My oldest son liked that office because he could easily get excuses from him when he did not want to go to school. The office staff doesn’t bill the correct insurance company I get bills after bills from them. I’m sick and tired of that place. There are plenty of Drs out there do your research don’t settle for this. Unfortunately my children’s father was who elected him as his primary doctor and that’s how they end up there.

VISIT AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!Dr. Garcia almost killed me by not ordering vital iron infusions, then lying repeatedly about ordering. Finally, I went to another Dr. As soon as the second doctor saw me, he immediately sent me to the hospital for infusions & saved my life.

my experience with Doctor Garcia has been that of personal relationship that you really want and need to be in with your doctor. comunication ,honesty ,and that personal touch of humanity is what makes Dr. Fernando Garcia ,not a good doctor, but a GREAT ONE. and I'm fortunate enough to have the PRIVILIDGE to call hIM, after so many years, MY good friend...
