Had physical on Tuesday 8/17; spent around 5 minutes with dr Bothwell. Waited quite a while for blood work and finally got up to go to lab to see why I hadn’t got called! Wow, did NOT have me listed!! Then on Thursday got a call that said spam call that was from a number not associated with SBMA; didn’t answer but a voicemail was left asking for me to call back for results of physical. Called back within 5 minutes and put to recording leaving my name, phone number, and message! NOW ONE WEEK LATER NO RETURN CALL AND TRYING TO CALL TODAY, ALL I GOT WAS RECORDINGS OR PHONE RINGING CONTINUOUSLY!! Do you think this is something that you would be happy with

Very knowledgeable about every condition. Takes time to talk and really cares about his patients. His memory is amazing regarding all aspects of his patients life. He forgets nothing. If he does not know the answer he will not hesitate to send you to someone who will find the answer. A real friend we trust and have for 16 years now

First, Dr. Bothwell is a great person, he is extremely supportive and can be counted on. Secondly he is extremely knowledgeable is what he does and has great outcomes in his practice. Third, his leadership is greatly received and sought out when challenges come up. He is the supportive physician for SBMA assigned to the Retama Manor facility. His help and support is greatly appreciated and it elevates the overall care of the team. Thank you doctor bothwell.

Hes been my primary physician for 26 years now. I've had a variety of ailments over those years and he has always worked with me on fears, concerns, symptoms and two allergic reactions to medications. He is also very down to earth and easy to talk to.

Dr. Bothwell is a nice man. My parents like him very much and are relunctant to go to a different physician. I think it is horrible, however, how we wait for over an hour to see the physician when we have an appointment. The wait to get in is always over an hour, by the time we're done, it's a three hour minimum! This is unprofessional and, I think, abuse against the elderly.

Poor customer service. Very passive and either nurses or he fails to appropriately followup in a timely manner. Needs to practice empathy. If it were not for the patients, he certainly would not be in there or for that matter practicing medicine. Not all patients are indigent and even so, the facility charges medicaid or private insurance so it is expected that they adequately provide quality service before and after visit for followup matters.
