Alan J Chapman Jr, Md's Online Review Report Card

Dr. Alan Chapman negligent inaction negligence, NEVER once came to my room when I was in the hospital. Disrespectful and opening hostile receptionist. Opening hostile, not opening. Stating 3 different dates in regard to my PICC line being removed after I provided the release date by another doctor on 03/10/2024, which in turn stated that it does not matter what that doctor states, it only matters what they say. Multiple breakdowns in communication after trying to contact him for over a week and no response from him directly, except from his VERY RUDE NP Lila Salgado. Very unprofessional and needs to be fired immediately. Her assist which I did not get his name stated when I asked about the documentation if Dr. Alan Chapman had reviewed my paper. Response from the male receptionist is that he has not been in all day. I told him the the NP told me that he would be in this afternoon, he stated that I was lying because he was next to her, and that the NP did not say that. I told him she did, he started to get more offensive with me. I told him then maybe I need to go to the office and speak to the Dr myself, he stated that the Dr. would not be in and that will be at a different hospital and that threatening him will not get the paperwork done any faster. I then told him I will just need to go to the hospital and file a complaint against Dr Alan Chapman. He then said go ahead, but that threatening them will get me nowhere. I requested him to give a message to the Dr and to the NP. He then stated that the office has been busy and will be busy tomorrow and that the doctor does not have time to look or fill out my paperwork so that I may be able to go back to work. VERY unprofessional. Employing a negligent doctor makes the hospital legally liable for negligence. I want this doctor and his staff to be fired due to lack of communication and paperwork and negligence.

Dr. Chapman and his office staff handled my home care very well

The office staff, (if there is even an office) is rude and not compassionate at all. My daughter was in the hospital for an internal infection and Dr. Chapman was called. He sent her home on two antibiotics and she was cultured twice. When I called to make a follow up appointment and to tell Dr. Chapman my daughter has a temperature, I was told in no uncertain terms that Dr. Chapman does not see patients outside the hospital. He doesn’t have issue with her temperature as he does not see patients. I was told to call the surgeon, who was brought on by the hospital and had already signed off on my daughter’s case, IF I had any questions. CLICK!! I am outraged at this. He gave my daughter two weeks worth of antibiotics yet he wants nothing to do with her. What kind of a doctor does this?

This doctor is a quack. He doesn’t care about patients. He is rude, unprofessional and his bedside manner is non existent. I had the misfortune of him being the infectious disease doctor the hospitalist called when I was admitted to the hospital. If you’re reading this review while still admitted, insist to your hospitalist/surgeon/whoever that they change your infectious disease doctor to someone else, stat. Your life could depend on it.

The worse experience I had. I was referred and hospitalized. He came to see me for a minute or two, did not check my incisions , did not take a sample to give me the right antibiotic, didn’t request a follow up appointment. Do not go to this person.

See other reviews, we were referred to Dr Chapman and I hate to give one star seeing as we never saw him but based on his office staff we will be looking elsewhere.

I'm not sure about Dr. Chapman himself, but his staff is ridiculously obstinate about trying to schedule an appointment. If you're looking for a new doctor... keep looking because the staff here is atrocious.

Dr. Chapman is brilliant and has a wonderful manner with his patients.

Mom was in hospital, saw him once and then never saw him. Her own Dr couldn’t get a hold of him to release her. Will never go back to this hospital as long as these our the kind of Dr they employee.
