List of Angie Sung's Reviews
Dr. Sung is an outstanding physician who is very attentive to patient care and is very knowledgeable as a primary care physician. I have been Dr. Sung’s patient for many years in an outside facility prior to her joining K-S. I was in fact disappointed when Dr. Sung could no longer be my physician in that facility as she moved. However, I was so delighted to find out from my web search, that she remained in Houston and moved over to K-S. She is very invested in preventative medicine, timely vaccinations, age related screening investigations. She is also has wonderful patient interactions and mannerism. Overall very pleased with the care of this outstanding physician.
My wife had a chronic sore throat. After an initial video exam, she was tested at Kelsey and was NEGATIVE for COVID and strep throat. We then were given an appointment for an office exam with Sung. We drove across town to see Sung in person at the scheduled time. Upon arrival at the almost-empty Kelsey clinic, we were told that Sung refused to see my wife in person. Would only consent to a video exam. If Sung is too lazy, unprofessional (or cowardly) to examine patients who do not have COVID, I'd hate to see her standard of care for those who do.
I have been seeing Dr. Sung for several years, and have never been disappointed in her assessments. She refers to excellent Specialists, she is prompt with answering questions, and, best of all, she LISTENS. You can't ask for more than that!
I love Dr. Sung. She gives you the care and time you need with your problems. Valerie Bilnoski
(1) She suggested I was having an acute cardiac arrest two years ago during a physical when she knew I had been diagnosed by my cardiologist with unobstructive hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. I told her that my EKG had come up abnormal before, but instead of referring me to my cardiologist, she suggested I go to the ER. As somewhat of an anxious person, I did where the attending physician told me I was ...
Dr. was uncaring, condescending, and rude. Even after a flu test, she could not properly diagnose what I had. She said it was an ear infection, but I had no earache whatsoever; just very achy, congested, and had a sore throat. She said I would basically just "have to be sick for about two weeks" and "live with it". When I was asking a question, she got up and walked to the door, just blatantly ignoring me, and shut the door and left me there! This is completely unacceptable, and not the level of care that Baylor usually subscribes to at all.
I found her to the point, intelligent and helpful. She listens and tries to help you. She's all business which I find refreshing.
I have several chronic conditions which Dr Sung manages in consultation with my other doctors. She has also treated me very successfully for several acute infections. Most recently, when I was in for a routine visit, she spotted a melanocitic mole and urged me to follow up immediately with a dermatologist. She is always punctual and very polite.
Dr. Sung is great at listening to symptoms or issues and answering any questions I might have. She is very prevention-minded to avoid serious problems, especially with my chronic conditions.
My insurance switched from PPO to HMO and I went in to see Dr. Sung for the purpose of getting a referral to see the surgeon who performed on me prior to the switch. I went in to get a referral and Dr. Sung gave me shots and billed the insurance yet I still do not have my needed insurance referral. I called and tried many times to reach someone to help. I have yet to get a return call nor a referral in 5 months. Now I have to pay my surgeon on my own! Ridiculous service and no ethics.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
