Ankhi Dutta, Md's Online Review Report Card

In 2018, after 4 years of unexplained fevers, countless hospitalizations, being told my daughter had various "viruses" and other doctors blowing us off... we landed in the emergency room at Texas children's with my daughter suffering from 106 fever and low oxygen. I was terrified. I was angry that nobody was listening when I told them something was wrong with my baby, and I was DONE. The emergency room doctor listened to me. He did a chest xray and found my daughter had bilateral pneumonia and called Dr. Dutta in for a consult. My daughter was in a trauma crash room and I was doing all I could to not burst into tears. Dr. Dutta came directly to me and told me she was going to figure it out. She hugged me and explained elevated inflammatory markers. She took the time to ask me about other symptoms. She was the first doctor to suggest a VERY rare immunological condition. She contacted the rheumatologist on site and within a 3 day admission, my daughter was diagnosed with her rare condition. On average, my child's diagnosis takes 10 years of clinical study and genetic sequencing to confirm the diagnosis. Dr. Dutta solved it like it was strep throat. After the genetic testing came back showing exactly what Dr. Dutta said it would, my daughter's entire life was changed and we have been living a healthy life ever since. My daughter's quality of life was down to nothing. I credit Dr. Dutta for saving her life and in turn, my family's life. I will trust her opinions for life.

Dr. Dutta helped my daughter recover completely from a very serious lung disease. She listened to my concerns about previous doctors' treatment plans and promptly adapted treatment plans accordingly. Our family is blessed because of Dr. Dutta's expertise and her kindness.

Horrific. My son will have issues from her neglect, for a very long time. We had to seek a professional that was actually informed and educated on what I was concerned my son had, and sure enough..they confirmed he had exactly what she said he did not! Not only did she neglect my sick little boy, she made claims I was delusional after I questioned her and insisted she do further testing. She then attempted to have my family investigated and my child removed. She met me and my son ONCE for 5 minutes. The investigation found HE WAS VERY SICK and was dismissed. (Also convenient TC had been pushing me to sign a vaccine contract to catch him up since I delay them, which I refused). He is now scheduled for a another surgery for the infection. ANOTHER SURGERY. If you love your child, stay away from this arrogant, ignorant, and compassionless woman.

Dr Dutta is a phenomenal physician. She is compassionate, extremely knowledgeable, proactive, and kind. She continually goes above and beyond to care for her patients. We are so grateful she was the doctor called to help my son when he was hospitalized. I can not recommend Dr Dutta enough!

Very dissatisfied, just go to TCH Houston or UT Houston.

My 18 month old son was diagnosed with a rare infection in his spine. We were assigned to Dr. Dutta when we were admitted to TX Childrens and we could not have asked for a kinder, more caring doctor to help guide us through a very difficult time. She fought our insurance company for us to ensure my son received the care he needed and was always available. Once we were released from the hospital and on home health care she and her nurse helped us to navigate the home healthcare system and would regularly text or call my husband and I to check on our son. When we had questions or concerns we could text her and she would always respond. If you are unfortunate enough to need an infectious disease pediatrician, you will be in good hands with Dr. Dutta!
