I fell in February 2021 and have been in intense nerve pain (8 out of 10 pain) from left buttock down left leg and into my foot 24/7. Since then, I have seen 29 doctors and therapists and have had 10 MRI’s, multiple procedures and injections including 2 other surgeries. None of the other doctors/therapists would think outside their box of knowledge and basically told me there was nothing they could do and recommended medication or having a pain stimulator implant. I was referred to Dr. Echo in July 2025 by a wonderful orthopedic doctor within the Houston Methodist hospital. Dr. Echo reviewed my latest MRIs and EMG and could see that I had scar tissue along my sciatic nerve and my inferior gluteus nerve had been damaged. He recommended a Neurolysis of the Sciatic Nerve in the Buttock at Piriformis, Neurolysis of Inferior/Superior gluteal Nerve, Nerve Graft which was performed on September 9, 2025. Dr. Echo used his amazing skill as a nerve surgeon to remove an immense amount of scar tissue, release the sciatic nerve from my pelvic bone and repair the severed inferior gluteal nerve, which was possibly severed in a prior surgery, with a cadaver nerve graft. Even though my nerve pain has not diminished yet (nerves take months or even years to fully heal), I’m very hopeful that I will have a life again free of most pain, all thanks to Dr. Anthony Echo and his incredible skill as a surgeon. I highly recommend Dr. Echo and his team and would trust him with surgery again if needed.

Procedure carried out by Dr Echo and his team went way above my expectations. The surgery was to fix something that was left undone on a prior surgery with a different doctor and he ended up redoing everything with a much better outcome. Now 3 weeks later I can absolutely tell the difference the pain level and discomfort even after such a short period of time is not comparable to even what I had 4 months after my prior surgery. Very glad I was able to have Dr Echo and his team on my case and strongly recommend for any Hernia related repair.
