I rarely post, but I have been a patient of Dr Gunawan for over 30 years. He diagnosed my condition early on and has treated me excellently ever since. His calm and warm but no nonsense approach is highly appreciated. I have lived around the world, but have always maintained my appointments with him for cardiac care. He's a good friend.

My office visits have been within 15-30 minutes of the scheduled appointments. The waiting room is always clean, with adequate sitting available. When I've needed to be seen right away I've been worked in same or next day. Staff is professional, courteous, efficient and always greet patients with a smile. All I'll say about Dr. Gunawan is that I have trust and respect for his knowledge and patience. I am confident in recommending friends and family members to him.

I first saw the Doctor back in 2008 when I was much younger and referred to him by my primary care doctor when I was experiencing left chest pain. I found him to very knowledgeable and he explained everything what I thought were chest heart pains was actually chest wall pains and not really related to my heart. However he gave me a stress test to be sure. Now I'm 51 and it's time for me to seek a cardiologist and I thought of him first. This way I can start the process on getting a stress test done so I can seek his medical advise if there is anything that I need to do....I feel I will be in good hands with Doctor Gunawan.

Doctor Gunawan is the best doctor . He saved my life when he discovered that I needed a Quadruple by pass. . He then realized 4 years later that I was having a heart attack in his office and Personally put me in a wheelchair and got me to the ER and on to the Cath lab placing a stent in a native artery Doctor Gunawan is by far the best cardiologist in the Houston metro area., and by far a great human being

He's always over booked so wait times are so long it's ridiculous. I've been seeing him for a couple of years & despite what others say it's always been like that for me. I get the feeling he's a cheap service from the size & condition of his office. He never takes the time to explain my condition or his treatments. I never feel he has any confidence in what he's telling me.

Dr. Gunawan was my physician/cardiologist for about 10 years from late 2006 until early 2016. He is the most compassionate and thorough doctor I have ever visited and I am sorry that I am no longer in a position (I moved) to be able to use his services. I highly recommend this doctor without any reservation whatsoever. He and his staff are amazing. Thank you for all of the care you provided to me.

A truly caring physician and actually the best doctor of any type that I have ever had. He listens carefully to what you are saying, spends quality time with you, and is truly concerned about your overall well being and health. I cannot say enough about how happy I am to have found him and have him as my cardiologist.
